Comparison between the TV version and the Extended Version

- 4 differences with 2 containing alternative material
- Difference: 17.3 sec

As with all seasons of the cult series, only the TV version of all episodes was released worldwide on Blu-ray and in October 2024 as a 4K premiere. This is not unusual for buyers of the German DVDs, but those who know the DVDs from America or Great Britain will miss the extended versions contained on them.

Episode 5x03 (The One Hundredth aka The One with the Triplets) is pretty unspectacular in its Extended Version: Just a few minor additions. Chandler's imitation of an Indian accent may be open to criticism, but at the time it was probably not removed for censorship reasons.

In the TV version, the doctor just walks out of the frame at the end of the scene and it fades out softly.

In the Extended Version, Joey says instead: “Well, if it was something else...”
Chandler now also imitates the doctor and his accent/tone; “...that that would be kidney stones!”
Monica smiles and there is also a soft fade.

Black screen for commercials: In the TV version, the shot of Rachel and Phoebe is a little longer and it fades to black. Instead, the extended version has a short close-up of Phoebe during the transition.

After Phoebe's “Works on you”, the TV version shows Chandler again briefly and one last medium long shot of Joey pointing at him, laughing.

In the Extended Version, Ross says: “Well, maybe they can girlie it up a little bit, um, like Chandlerette.”
Phoebe: “Alice called her, um, Channy-Fanny.”
Joey: “Ha-ha. Channy-Fanny.”
He also points at Chandler, but in a different take.
