Comparison between the HD version and the original version (both included on the German Blu-ray by Filmjuwelen)
In the comparison of the pilot episode, we have already summarized everything about the problems with the HD remastering of Baywatch, which is different in songs and also censored in nude scenes, at least right at the beginning. Episode 2x10 (The Trophy: Part 2) has much less differences than the first part, whereas here again there is a piece of several minutes that consists almost completely of alternative takes. Once again it's questionable why so much was exchanged here of all places. Really thrilling material isn't to be found here, anyway.
The HD master avoids the approximately one minute retrospective at the beginning, which also explains the additional runtime difference.
Alternative 05:55-06:12 / 06:55-07:12 There are several alternative camera perspectives when Caroline comes in. No time difference
Alternative 08:21-08:32 / 09:21-09:32 The original version changes here several times to Eric here, whereas in the HD master the semi-total is longer. No time difference
Alternative 09:04-09:06 / 10:04-10:06 When Eric gets stuck in the sand, the original version changes to a shot of him earlier. No time difference
Alternative 15:29-16:16 / 16:27-17:14 After Eric has driven down the ramp, the follow-up shots all deviate as he comes to the two windsurfers. When the two of them reject the flight, the versions are already closer to each other, but in the original version, you see only the blond windsurfer in the re-cuts, and both in the HD-Master. Finally, the original version has a shot of Eric, the HD-Master stays much longer with the windsurfers. No time difference
Another song directly after the flashback scenes with Eric on the beach. Alternative 19:03-19:07 / 20:01-20:05 The original version changes earlier to the shot from above. The HD master stays a little longer with Eric and shows the two windsurfers from behind. No time difference
Alternative 19:47-23:15 / 20:45-24:07 Again a terribly annoyingly long piece with several alternative shots. The glider flight can be seen from different perspectives at the beginning and then several times in between. When Mitch arrives at the two windsurfers, there is a long change to another angle in the middle of it. As Mitch climbs into the glider and flies, as well as boats arriving in between or simply seeing the crashed Eric in the water - there are always completely different shots between identical shots. Only when they have reached Eric in the water, the short rest of the scene runs synchronously again without any deviations. HD-Master 5 sec longer
Swapped songs when Eddie walks around in minute 24. Not a real deviation, but it's shown to illustrate some of the subtleties of the HD editing process: At 26:10 / 27:00 , a different colour filter was chosen (see the sky), which does change the mood a bit.
