One certainly needs to make no words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". Even those who have not seen it have at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and was aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.
As for the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.
Alf: (I've also done some interesting things with pasta! Want to buy it? 39,95 Dollar! No ups, no extras!)
Willie: I'm afraid it'd be wasted on a mere civil servant like me! Remember?
Alf: I like a man who knows his place!
Lloyd looks at a woman's painting and says that it does not look bad. He then goes to a young man who wants his opinion as well.
Man: Dou you think I'm making the prober use of negative space here? I'm trying for a primitive, brooding sensibility!
Lloyd: Another art major! Somebody call security! Wally, you're doing fine!
Then Lloyd turns to another young man and looks at his piece of art.
Lloyd: Aha, a nude! Jeff, Jeff, Jeff! You quiet little thing you! I don't have to worry about you anymore! Very attractive!
Ellen: Thank you!
Lloyd: Ellen? You two? Well, I'd like to think I brought you lugs together!
Lynn: (Alf, where did all these paintings come from?)
Alf: I had a sudden burst of unspiration! I discovered Luther Vandross!
Lynn: Well, boogie down Broadway! Where am I supposed to work?
Lloyd: All right, now, before we adjourn who had a chance to read the review of my gallery opening downtown? Everybody raises their hand
Lloyd: I just happened to have a copy! Who wants to read? Again, everybody raises their hand.
Ellen reads from the flyer after taking it: With his current show, Mr. Reuben has superbly shown the otherwise tame Los Angeles art scene neoclassicism is still a valid and innovative form of two-dimensional expression! The others are clapping their hands.
Lloyd: Well, thank you! Thank you! If it had come from me, it would've been boasting! Did I mention that if you buy anything for 2000 Dollars or more you don't have to take the final?
Jeff: Say, Ellen, do you plan on doing anymore posing!
Ellen wordlessly turns around and leaves with the others.
Alf: You wanna split a soda?
Alf hands Willie the bowl of popcorn and ask whether he wants something. Willie thanks him and takes some. The US Version shows a shot of Alf instead.
