The Man in the High Castle, produced by Amazon, Scott Free, Headline Pictures and Electric Shephrd Productions, is based on the identically named novel by Philip K. Dick from 1962. The Axis Powers have won World War II and the United States has been partitioned into three parts: The East Coast and most of the South is ruled by the Nazis (Greater Nazi Reich), the West Coast is ruled by the Japanese (Japanese Pacific States) plus there are the so-called "Rocky Mountain States". This is a neutral zone that acts as a buffer between the two areas.

Since 01/15/2015, the Pilot is available on Amazon Instead Video. It was Amazon's "most-watched since the original series development program began". On 02/18/2015, a first season consisting of 10 episodes was green-lit. The missing 9 episodes are available on Amazon since 11/20/2015.

Fun Fact: As part of an advertising campaign for the release of the first season, an entire New York City subway was covered with Nazi and Imperial Japanese imagery as seen in the show, including multiple American flags with the Nazi eagle emblem in place of the 50 stars. After complaints from riders as well as New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, initial reports indicated that Amazon pulled the advertisement from the subway. It was later announced that the MTA pulled the ad due to pressure from Governor Cuomo, not Amazon. Either way, Amazon got what they wanted: promotion for their new show.

The banner is different. In the Original Pilot, H.I.H. the Crown Prince and Princess are being welcomed in Japanese, German and English. In the Revised Pilot, the German text has been replaced by a simple "Welcome".
Furthermore, the scene is trivially longer in the Original Pilot. To be more specific, hanging up the banner is a bit longer resp. it starts slightly earlier (1 frame).

Further alterations regarding signs etc. have been made but those are so insignificant that they will not be listed.

Alternate Footage / Alternate Audio Track / Extended Scene / Recut
13:26 / 13:23

Alternate footage and slightly different dialog with "Guess My Game" on TV in the background. In addition to that, the location is different plus Arnold is played by a different actor. Also, the end of the scene is longer plus the order of two scenes has been changed.

The scene starts with a shot of the TV, "Guess My Game" is on.
Game Show Host Phil (to Phil, the candidate): "It says here you're from Florida originally."
Mother: "Those uniforms. I can hardly stand to watch."
Arnold: "So change it."
Mother: "Well, then I won't find out his game."
Meanwhile, Juliana has entered the room. She has made a cup of tea for her mother and puts it next to her.
Juliana: "Here you go."
Mother: "What"s this?"
Juliana: "From the herbalist."
Mother: "The Jap herbalist?"
Juliana: "It's Chinese."
Mother: "Jap tea, Jap karate…"
Juliana: "It's not karate, Ma. It's aikido."

The mom answers slightly different.
Original Pilot:
Mother: "I don't know why you like the Japs so much. They killed your father."
Revised Pilot:
Mother: "I don't know why you love the Japs so much. They killed your father."

The conversation continues identically.
Juliana: "Come on, Ma. Mr. Nakamura is one of the good guys."

Again, the mom's comment slightly differs.
Original Pilot:
Mother: "They marched my poor John to his death and now his own daughter thinks they're the good guys."
Revised Pilot:
Mother: "They marched my poor John to his death and now his own daughter thinks they're one of the good guys."

Now, Arnold intervenes and his comment is not exactly the same either.
Original Pilot:
Arnold: "Excercise is good for her, Anne. After the accident and all."
Revised Pilot:
Arnold: "Hey. Exercise is good for her. Especially after the accident."

The mom's oomment has been altered one more time. Moreover, only the Revised Pilot contains Arnold's reaction.
Original Pilot:
Mother: "Your father's spinning in his grave. I tell you that."
Revised Pilot:
Mother: "Your father's spinning in his grave. That's all I can say."
Arnold: "Oh, Anne."

The conversation continues identically.
Juliana: "I have to go."
Mother: "Go? You just got here."
Juliana: "Frank’s waiting."

Arnold's comment is slightly different plus the scene is longer in the Revised Pilot.
Original Pilot:
Arnold: "I'll get your coat."
Revised Pilot:
Arnold: "Let me get your coat."
Arnold gets up and gives Juliana her coat. While they are hugging, Arnold says: "I'll see you later."
A small shot of the mother follows, Arnold then says to her: "Tea's not so bad, you know?"

Last but not least, the order of the last two shots has been changed.
The Original Pilot now shows the TV, "Guess My Game" is still on. Subsequently, a shot of the mother. She takes a sip and her facial expression makes it very clear that she does not consider the tea delicious.
In the Revised Pilot, we see the mother first. She takes a sip, then her self-explanatory facial expression. Then the TV show.

Logos
59:35 / 59:46

Completely superfluous but it is mentioned explicitely because it is just ridiculous: The Headline Pictures logo is different.
Furthermore, only the Revised Pilot contains a link to the second episode (right bottom on the screenshot). Since only the Original Pilot was shot and released at first, doing it any other way was not an option.
