John Wick: Chapter 4

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Additional scene in the theatrical cut
40:03-40:04 / 46:19

Before Peter brings out his suit, a shot of Doc Ock's nano-hologram can be seen for an insignificant moment longer in the theatrical version. This is probably only due to the fact that a completely different song (Monster Mash) is played off-screen during this scene montage, which changes the mood. The extended version seems a bit sillier here, which of course fits the following additional scenes with Ned.

+ 0.4 sec

40:11 / 46:26-46:40

Ned is a bit clumsy here: While moving the table, all things fall down from there. MJ looks at him perplexed. Afterwards he wants to take a chair and again something falls down. Again MJ is standing next to him.

13.8 sec

40:14 / 46:44-46:46

Another quick shot of the confused Ned with HDMI cable.

2.3 sec

40:18 / 46:50-47:10

Ned again, who now runs off with the cable in his hand - and clears some stuff off the table in the background.
Also, the scene with the sea monster in the little house is initiated earlier. MJ points this out to Peter and he looks at the little house. Ned awkwardly joins in.

The next episode of Daily Bugle with Jameson begins earlier in the Extended Version with a little interview that doesn't quite go Jameson's way. After Jameson's brief question about destroyed buildings, the construction worker talks a bit more about how Spider-Man actually came to the people's aid.

Jameson: "I'm now joined by supervisor Walter Burke, who was at the scene of tonight's disturbance. Mr Burke, you're saying you saw Spider-Man, with your own eyes, destroying multiple power lines?"
Mr. Burke: "Uh... Yes. Yes, sir, he did."
Jameson: "There you have it, folks. Firsthand, from an unimpeachable witness, the Teen Terror attacking our electrical grid."
Mr. Burke: "Yeah, he was talking to the Dirt Man."
Jameson: "Beg your pardon?"
Mr. Burke: "Yeah, he was talking to the Dirt Man before they worked together to make the Power Monster disappear with what appeared to be a sparkle web."
Jameson: "All right. Yep. Thank you very much. Well, that, uh... We'll have to circle back and confirm this, folks. I'll talk to my producer to see if we can find out what's in Mr Burke's thermoa. But the fact remains, Spider-Man is a menace."

In the Theatrical Cut there is a first wide shot from the studio, much longer than the short moment from the same perspective at the beginning of the extended version. Jameson at least says the same as at the end of the close-up of the Extended.

Extended 48.8 sec longer

Theatrical CutExtended Version

62:39-62:43 / 70:20-70:43

After the baddies have talked it over, there's a nice short moment where the whole squad is standing in the elevator and you can see the mood in their faces accordingly.

After that, you see Hogan and Matt having to justify themselves in front of Agent Cleary and his people. Hogan is sweating.
Matt: "My client has nothing to do with the missing technology. He's a law-abiding citizen. He has nothing to hide."
Hogan: "That's right."
Hogans's phone vibrates.

In the Theatrical Cut the door opens with a close-up of the three safety locks, which jump from red to green one after the other.

In the Extended Hogan's cell phone with the security feed is shown instead.

Alternativ / Additional scene in the theatrical cut
62:54-62:59 / 70:56-71:07

The Theatrical Cut stays longer with the B/W shot of the surveillance camera and also shows the follow up shot inside earlier. Peter closes the door and again you can see the green/red mechanism like this.

In the Extended we switch back to Hogan and Matt instead. Hogan continues to look at his phone with the feed from the security camera.
Agent Cleary says: "Mr Hogan, is something wrong?"
Daredevil mumbles "Happy." and then says to Hogan, "Stop sweating."
Hogan whispers back: "How do you do that?"

Extended 5.8 sec longer

64:37 / 72:45-72:59

Peter has a longer conversation with Osborn about his knowledge of Otto / Doc Ock. In the process, Osborn realizes how he can use this for himself.

Peter: "But, if you look here, if I can introduce self--"
Osborn talks to himself: "Self-healing composite circuitry."
Peter: "Exactly. So, theoretically, I mean, if this were to work, he would go back to the way he was."

100:28-100:32 / 108:49-109:09

The Theatrical Cut immediately switches to Tobey after Andrew's comment about a tank of electric eels, saying "That'll do it."

In the Extended Andrew is seen for a longer time before Tobey makes his comment in a slightly different view.
Andrew pauses briefly and expresses his self-doubt: "All the things I wished I could have done differently. Now to have a second chance."

Extended 16.4 sec longer

101:13-101:17 / 109:50-110:09

Andrew asks in alternate take about the mesh fluid produced specifically in the body. Only in the extended take is there a bit more dialogue before that. Andrew wants to spend more time with the two and wants to exchange cell phone numbers. Tobey points out that they should first survive the night.

Andrew: "We should do this again, like, all hang out."
Tobey: "It's nice. We should maybe, you know, focus on... On not getting killed tonight."
Andrew: "Yeah. For sure. That's a good idea. I'll just grab your number at the end of the battle."
Tobey: "You got it."

Extended 15.4 sec longer

Theatrical CutExtended Version

101:38 / 110:30-110:54

Before Tom asks about other areas of the body aside from the wrist, Andrew and Tobey discuss at some length how Tobey manages to get spider webs produced in the first place.

Tobey: "It's just, like, when it releases, it's like a clean release."
Andrew: "Can I ask something?"
Tobey: "Yeah."
Andrew: "Is it like: When you think it, it webs?"
Tobey: "That's a good way to put it."
Andrew: "Because if I press... I have to have a mechanism."
Tobey: "Right."
Andrew: "But for you, is it like, 'Web'!? And then it webs?"
Tobey: "Uh, not even conscious at this point."
Andrew: "It's just like riding a bike."

23.4 sec

Alternativ / Additional scene in the theatrical cut
102:01-102:03 / 111:17-111:29

In the Extended Andrew goes deeper into the discussion.
Tobey: "I'm not sure what to say. It's just a natural thing. It just happens. I don't know."
Andrew: "It's so cool, man. Like, I wanna see the holes."
Tobey looks irritated.

In the Theatrical Cut Tom's follow-up shot starts a little earlier.

Extended 9.6 sec longer

Theatrical CutExtended Version

102:24 / 111:50-112:05

Bevor Andrew zum Schluss kommt, dass er im Vergleich zu Tobey und Tom langweilig sei, erzählt Tobey noch etwas mehr: "I'm always simultaneously, like, completely stunned by the fantastical nature of these things, and it's also just like, 'Yeah. Okay. Yeah.'"
Andrew agrees: "Yeah, it's Monday. Yeah. I mean--"

14.7 sec

102:29 / 112:10-112:12

Peter still reacts positively to Andrew's comment about his supposedly boring fight against the Russian guy in a rhinoceros machine: "That's cool."
Andrew: "Not as-- No, it's not."

At the beginning of the end credits (the screenshot shows 139:15 / 148:58) the Extended adds a few people to the cast information, who only appear in this version. Further back (second screenshot: 143:41 / 153:24) around the 3D credits some information also deviates. Also (144:05 / 153:53) the alternative Song Monster Mash, which is played during the scene in the 40./46. Minute, is mentioned. Following are a few cases of text that is simply arranged slightly differently, but is basically the same.

The post-credits scene has been replaced. In the Theatrical Cut there was a little teaser for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Extended now shows another report from Betty instead, after the info clip from the principal can be seen again at the beginning. She talks about the end of high school and what great memories this time brought everyone. In addition to typical teen photos, you can also see moments from the previous films in the form of shaky cell phone videos.

Narrator: "Seniors, don't forget to schedule your graduation photo pickup."
The spot about safety in the hallway begins with a toot; "Cafeteria safety is no joke. Respect the signs, or pay the consequences. This has been a message from the Cafeteria Safety Council."
Female narrator: "And now, Betty's Corner, with Betty Brant."
Betty: "It seems like only yesterday that we were just starting the adventure that we call high school. And what an adventure it's been. We learned new things. We travelled the world. We fell in love. We almost died. Multiple times. We made friendships that will last forever. Also, some of us disappeared for five years and then reappeared. But the less we talk about that, the better. What's important is that we made it. And as we look out on to an exciting and uncertain future, just remember: The memories we've made here at Midtown High are the ones that we will cherish forever. That's Midtown News for today, and for one last time, this has been Betty Brant. Signing off. Happy graduation! Go Tigers!"
