Comparison between the TV Version and the DVD Version, the latter taken from the US DVD set "Season 13 (Volume 14)"

There are three differences, including one alteration of the audio track and one featuring alternative footage.

The next DVD set, which is available in the US since December 8, 2015 contains all the episodes of season 13. As was the case with previous box sets, some episodes are longer or uncensored compared to the than the original TV broadcasts – but less than before. Several episodes are identical or nothing more than a beep was removed.

Episode 4 ("Brian the Closer") offers a few more seconds because of an additional distasteful comment by Quagmire. It is not very nice but still was probably rather removed for length reasons than because of censorship. A little more interesting: Shortly afterwards, Quagmire lifts some weight and is shown from a different angle. Finally, a sentence was altered to feature a cruder choice of words.


There are no differences between the versions in episodes 1 – 3.

Earlier in the Drunken Clam. Quagmire comes to the counter and says: "Hey, Jerome, there's a woman lying in a pool of my vomit in the back alley. Could you bring her some onion rings?"
When Jerome has left, Quagmire adds to Brian: "You know, when that chick sees Jerome coming, she's gonna think her night just got even worse."
Brian reacts glumly: "Yeah."

The first frames afterwards differ slightly because of Brians different posture (not pictured).
