Another bomb is let down into the water. Then a comment of one of the goons on the boat: "What is it now? "
A shot of the radar follows, then the very same goon continues: "Target moving out."
Subsequently, several shots of the submarine, the boat following them, further bombs and the radar in rotation. Eventually, several bombs detonate close to the submarine. Now, we are inside the submarine. Steve is getting examined while further bombs detonate.
One of the crew members gives orders: "Secure all watertight hatches. Dive to 200 feet."
Then the usual: several shots of the boats, detonating bombs and further interior shots of the submarine with Steve on board.
Then the crew member again: "All clear."
Now another exterior shot of the submarine, followed by a comment of one of the guys following them on another boat: "They went to deep."
Then we see a last exterior shot of the submarine and with the following shot of Steve, whose puls is still being taken, the versions are back in sync.

Further exterior shot of the submarine, followed by another shot of the boat chasing them. Their tail receives an order on the radio: "Patrol, return to home base."
Then the submarine one more timme and with the shot of Steve, the versions are back in sync.

After the just mentioned shot of Steve, the versions continue differently - again.

Original Broadcast Version:
At first, the Original Broadcast Version fades to black (no screenshots). A little shot of the city (missing in the Expanded Syndication Version) follows. With the subsequent shot of the National Medical Center, the versions are back in sync. (3.43 sec)


Expanded Syndication Version:
The Captain of the submarine gives further orders: "Contact APF flagship to launch a helicopter to follow plan code 1-6-0, position code 4-9-5. Prepare to pick up Colonel Austin at rendezvous as planned. Pearl Harbor will arrange transportation to Washington and the hospital will notify Oscar Goldman immediately on arrival."
Then an exterior shot of a boat, the chopper and finally the submarine. Several shots of the chopper and the submmarine in rotation follow. At some point, the chopper stops above the submarine and Steve gets on board of the chopper.
While Steve gets lifted on a stretcher, one can hear the chopper pilot: "Easy on that, boys! Watch the slack!"
As soon as Steve is on board, the chopper flies off. Several exterior shots of an harbor and the O.S.I. building follow. Then we are inside that building.
After a few small shot, a guy says via voice-over: "Gentlemen, your complete re-evaluation on Colonel Austin in terms of the bionic transplants to determine if there is any residual damage because of his new injury?"
More interior shots of the O.S.I. building follow. Among others, we see Steve in surgery again. Some of those scenes are stock footage from the surgery in the first pilot (probably all of them are).
After surgery, the already mentioned exterior shot of the National Medical Center follows. (213.33 sec resp. 3 min and 33.33 sec)
