Only a few seconds after Steve set foot on the balcony, the versions continue differently again.

Original Broadcast Version:
Steve is out on the balcony, signaling someone with a flashlight. Then a shot of the coast, followed by two shots of the surfacing submarine (incl. furter credits). Now a close-up of Steve's left hand. He keeps signaling with the flashlight. All of a sudden, Tamara is standing behind him, telling him not to jump. (25.53 sec)

Expanded Syndication Version:
Here, we get to see several shots of the submerged submarine incl. an intercut to the coast. The submarine then surfaces. Steve gives signals to the crew with a flashlight and after another distance shot of the submarine, we see the Captain with a crew member.
The Captain says: "Reduce speed, one quarter."
Now the close-up of Steve's left hand, he keeps signaling with his flashlight. Then another distance of the submarine, followed by Steve who is still signaling. A furter shot of the coast follows, then the sub one more time. With the shot of Tamara appearing behind Steve and telling him not to jump, the versions are back in sync. (59.53 sec)
