21:00 / 23:16-23:35

After Cindy beats up the bad guys from Table 6 and chains them to the chair, the police squad appears. After one of the cops tells Cindy that the chief inspector wants to see her, the scene immediately changes in the German version. In the US version, however, she still gives the reasons for the arrest ("attempted murder", "dope-pushing", "assaulting", "kidnapping", as well as "looking ugly") and slaps Buffalo in the face in the process. Afterwards, the head cop says to Buffalo, "Ohh, you're in deep shit. C'mon!"

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version from 21:06-21:26 on the French DVD, and has been illustrated for the better quality of it.

19.4 sec

21:02 / 23:37-24:49

While Cindy immediately enters the police office in the export version, there is actually one more small scene that is moved forward. Joe is handing out food, but the others don't want it - because it looks funny. Afterwards, a colleague comes in with a 'criminal' and wants to interrogate him, but he is taken over by Joe. He interrogates him and gives him shit for grabbing a white woman's backside. Joe gets upset that the offender absolutely had to touch a white woman's butt ("You're a racist?"). When Cindy comes into the office, both versions are running the same again.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version from 21:28-22:40 on the French DVD, and has been illustrated for the better quality of it..

72 sec (= 1:12 min)

26:01 / 29:48-30:01

To get around the ticket - which the woman is issuing - Joe wants to quickly move the car. To do this, he adjusts the mirrors.

Note: This scene runs much longer again in the Hong Kong version. Here, Joe discusses something else with her. The part relevant here comes with the French DVD with the Hong Kong version from 27:44-27:56 and was illustrated because of the better quality of it..

12.3 sec

Alternative / Exclusive footage in export version.
28:02-28:06 / 32:02-32:05

A shot of the computer screen where Cindy finds a name has been redone in English. This is a bit odd in that various shots with the computer before it were left unedited and you can read the other Chinese name there.

Note: As noted in the intro based on the categorization "3a+b", this shot, remastered for export, is also found in the British and German versions, as these were made based on the export version, which was uncut in its own right.

Mandarin version 0.1 sec longer[duration export version: 3.3 sec]

28:12 / 32:12-32:39

After Chan's name comes up in the computer, Cindy thinks for a moment and then there is the cut in the German version. In the US version, however, she gets more specific info on Chan and then throws the printed paper away.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version from 29:48-30:15 on the French DVD and has been illustrated for the better quality of it..

26.7 sec

35:06 / 39:33-39:34

Fishing in the cooler with ice cubes comes a little earlier.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version of 37:19-37:20 on the French DVD, and has been illustrated for the better quality of it..

1.1 sec

36:30 / 40:58-41:22

Joe arrives with fast food. His colleague says critically that they were assigned to shadow someone, not stuff themselves with hamburgers. Joe reacts crankily, claiming he's dying of hunger.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version of 38:45-39:09 on the French DVD, and has been illustrated for the better quality of it..

24.2 sec

39:44-39:47 / 44:36

There is a violence cut here in the Mandarin version. An initial shot of Yu looking shocked, then the superintendent pulling out a hidden knife from his pipe. He rams it into Johnny's ear, who cries out.

Note: Is included in the Hong Kong version (42:37-42:41) and thus no exclusive material of the export version. The Hong Kong version is again longer here, though, because you see Johnny with the pipe for half a second longer - and then more of the death scene. Details in the separate comparison of the Hong Kong version.

+ 3.6 sec

52:03 / 56:51-56:57

After Yu has named a large sum, two policemen have a short conversation. There is musing, with reference to a large bite of chicken thigh (sort of a parallel to Yu's utopian claim), that it is easy to choke on it.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version from 56:23-56:29 on the French DVD and has been illustrated for better quality of it.".

6.6 sec

52:49 / 57:43-58:09

After Joe is given the task by Cindy to shadow the boy, he first complains that he is stuck on his report. He can't write a certain word. For this reason, he gets in trouble with her again ("I don't believe it. Jimmy, didn't they teach you anything at school?").

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version from 57:15-57:41 on the French DVD, and has been illustrated for the better quality of it.

26 sec

64:57 / 70:18-72:16

After Chan puts the gun to Cindy's head, the scene takes another "model" ending. Chan takes out handcuffs and puts them on himself.
Following this, Chan is brought before the superintendent. Both talk about justice and especially Chan emphasizes that he will fight for justice (even with handcuffs). Afterwards, the superintendent takes Chan to task.

Note: Comes with the Hong Kong version of 70:08-72:06 on the French DVD and has been illustrated for the better quality of it..

118.7 sec (= 1:59 min)

Alternative / Exclusive footage in the Mandarin version.
85:04-85:08 / 92:23-92:37

In the Export version, you can definitely see Chan being sentenced in the courtroom (unlike the Hong Kong version). The picture of him freezes, however, while the judge in the off speaks the sentence to end. He mentions 8 years in prison. The picture fades to black and the end credits music starts.

The Mandarin version goes on a little further. Here you see the judge again, and he adds divergently that Chan would get life imprisonment: "I sentence the defendant to life imprisonment."
Another shot of the remorseful looking Chan follows.
Since the Hong Kong version has an alternate ending, this is another passage that can be encountered exclusively ONLY in the Mandarin version.

Mandarin version 9,2 sec longer.
