...and the scene blends over to Cuchillo hanging on the gallows once again. After some discussion he gets some dynamite put in his mouth. Penny prays for him some more and riders are heard arriving. Reza and his gang show up, scare off the lawmen and free Cuchillo. He is then led to the inn where the gang is staying.

in total 635.6 sec (= 10:36 min)

42:46 / 66:52-67:39

After Penny establishes that there is, after all, $3 million at stake, Cuchillo and Pablo are seen riding around a bit. They ask someone for directions and are brusquely turned away. Cuchillo comments that this is probably how things work in Texas. The follow-up shot of Dolores riding through the snow also starts a little early.

47 sec

46:54 / 71:47-72:10

More shots of the riders walking through the snow.

22.9 sec

56:07 / 81:23-82:03

After the scene with Nathaniel in prison, the scene with Riza's gang starts earlier. His wife is in labor. Riza sends the midwife away and orders her to hold back the child for three more days, because then they would be back in Mexico. After all, he doesn't want a gringo for a son.

40 sec

59:28 / 85:24-87:45

A badly wounded bandit drags himself back to Riza's camp and says everyone else had been killed. Riza wants to burn down the town, but Michel has another plan. The townspeople would be celebrated as heroes that way, and most importantly, Cuchillo could use the chaos to escape. So, in his opinion, it would be better to evacuate the city before midnight. The two laugh briefly at Michel's eloquent choice of words.

140.7 sec (= 2:21 min)

62:04 / 90:20-91:57

The men turn around at the end of the shot because shots are heard from outside. Riza and his gang briefly enter the village, shoot around and drag in two men with a blackboard around their necks, before they also disappear again immediately. Mayor Bannington reads on the blackboard that they should hand over the men, otherwise they can expect another attack at midnight. The citizens discuss and Bannington says he will give in to the demand. Nathaniel joins in and reminds him at gunpoint that he actually had an appointment with him.

97 sec (= 1:37 min)

62:51 / 92:45-95:06

The shot outside is a few frames longer, then follows another scene with Penny and Cuchillo. She offers to hide him and tries to find out from him where the gold is. Cuchillo holds back, however, and tries to kiss her. Penny teases him a bit, though, and prefers to walk away - she would wait for him by the carriage and he needn't worry. After Penny leaves, Nathaniel joins them and says that he has found a way to get the gold out of town.

140.9 sec (= 2:21 min)

65:41 / 97:56-99:39

Penny drives up in the carriage and calls for Cuchillo. Nathaniel comes to her and says that Cuchillo is not coming. Penny's father calls for her and she hesitates for a moment before she rides off. We then see Cuchillo cowering in his hiding place, who also seems a bit pensive and takes a few steps into the street.

103.4 sec (= 1:43 min)

78:18 / 112:16-114:29

The different parties face each other for much longer and prepare for the knife fight they have been talking about. Suddenly, however, Nathaniel appears and fires a few shots at Cuchillo's two adversaries. Cuchillo then enjoys changing his position a bit until the situation suits him best. Dolores watches tensely.

133.4 sec (= 2:13 min)

In the original version, Cuchillo is seen riding a little longer and here the Italian end card appears.

Original version 31.2 sec longer
