Compared are the Regular Version and the Extended Version.
In 1984, hip hop pioneers The Beasty Boys released one of their most successful tracks ever: Sabotage. In a very stylish video directed by Spike Jonze, 70s cop shows are being spoofed. Flared pants, huge sunglasses, car chases in narrow streets or donut and coffee... It is all in there. There are two different versions of the video though. One can only assume why that is but the Extended Version contains more violence against against perps and there is a suitcase full of drugs as well - so you do the math. Before and after the actual video, there is also a fake interview with the cops in the Extended Version. Fake Interview Part 1
In the fake interview, one of the cop explains he was trained well, both mentally and physically in order to do the stunts. He demonstrates how he would grab and hit a perp, then he shows one of his kicks and the host applaudes. 21 sec
Extended Version 00.51 Shot of a black suitcase full of drugs. 0.5 sec
Alternate Footage 01.44 In the Extended Version, the gangster gets something out of his pocket, followed by a close-up of a jack knife. He illustrate his skills, then he attacks the cop with it but the cop manages not to get stabbed resp. he makes a smart jump. In the Regular Version on the other hand, the cop grabs the runner, followed by a close-up of the gangster. Then an entirely different scene with two other cops walking by their squad car. no difference
Alternate Footage 01.52 In the Extended Version, one of the thugs falls off the bridge. In the Regular Version, a squad car jumps over a hill instead. no difference
Alternate Footage 01.56 In the Extended Version, the gangster falls and literally hits the road (it is pretty obvious that it is just a dummy though). In the Regular Version, the kung fu master shows some of his moves. no difference
Alternate Footage 02.16 In the Extended Version, one of the cops is working a door with an axe. In the Regular Version, three guys are playing cards instead. no difference
Regular Version 02.21 The three card-playing guys once again, followed by two cops on their way to the very same location. Then a shot of one of the guys at the gambling table. 5 sec
Extended Version 02.23 A car door is being closed, then a cop with sunglasses in the side mirror, followed by a further shot of said cop. A hand pushes some kind of button and the squad car explodes. 5 sec
Alternate Footage 02.32 The Extended Version shows a cop getting out of the car while the Regular Version shows two cops taking down a thug. no difference
Alternate Footage 02.40 In the Extended Version, the guy who has just been arrested gets tossed out of the driving car. In the Regular Version, the kung fu master shows one of his kicks. no difference
Fake Interview Part 2 At the end of the video, there is another small part of the interview. The cop emphasizes how bad-ass it was and how the kids would say "Much Macho". 12 sec
