Compared are the Israeli VHS by Malibu Video and the UK-DVD by Arrow Video.
The cery rare Israeli tape contains several scenes with, compared to many other releases, different footage. Whether this version has also been released in other countries couldn't be determined. No clues that point into that direction could be found. Book texts and letters, written in Italian in the familiar versions, have been replaced by English texts on the Israeli VHS. Among other scenes, the scene with Maria discovering the killer's archive in the basement contains alternate footage. Furthermore, the VHS lacks scene parts, probable due to jumpcuts and wear and tear. The few scenes missing in the familiar version (there's a seperate comparison for that) are all there on the VHS Version (except for framecuts at the end of the scene with Jane). Cuts below 5 frames haven't been considered in this comparison. 8 scenes with alternate footage without difference 1 scene with alternate footage with a difference (1 sec) 5 cuts (18.8 sec) 1 extended black screen on the VHS before the end credits start (+ 4.96 sec) Total length difference = 14.84 sec Timeindex: Israeli VHS / UK-DVD (Arrow Video)
