CENSORED: Video Girl Ai has also been significantly shortened. This time, however, not overcautious English or German publishers made the alterations but the Japanese themselves did. In 1991, as a matter of fact, Japan experienced some heavy protests because of allegedly sexist and violent manga that were readily available. Hence over 50 books were temporarily withdrawn from circulation or altered – one of those was Video Girl Ai.
