2 new / extended scenes with a length of 43.6 sec
+ 2 recuts in the TV Version

Family Guy is a huge success on FOX. But some modifications need to be made to get permission to air it on FOX because some gags are too rude for TV. Other gags have only been removed to reach the appropiate length for an episode on TV, which means not all the differences were made due to censorship. Nevertheless there are still enough hilarious, outrages gags in it so that fans are gonna have lots of fun with watching the TV Version on FOX. (I'm speaking from experience.)

BTW It airs every sunday evening on FOX. That's really nice because you can also watch the new American Dad episode and new episode of The Cleveland Show. So you've got a terrific triple feature. And when you're watching FOX anyway, you can also watch the latest Simpsons episode. I can really imagine worse evening than watching the latest episodes of the series by Seth MacFarlane plus some new adventures of Homer & Co.

Episode 4x14 criticizes the FCC (American board of censors for TV). The story is about Peter, who's pretty annoyed about the censorship in his favorite show. That's why he establishes his own channel with the intention of no censorship being made. He produces all the shows himself.
Basically the DVD Version contains a new scene the creators had problems with in the TV. Instead of following the rules of TV standards, the entire Jackass parody has been cut out.
As a result of that, three other scenes needed to be removed because the last section, the actual Jackass scene, is the reason for Lois' outrage. That has been changed in the TV Version, the outrage for her is the "Sideboob Hour" now.
The recuts go hand in hand with an additional introduction for the sections with Peter, which explains the above-mentioned second extended scene.

Time index refers to the TV Version.

Please note:

There is no longer / uncensored DVD Version of the episodes 4x12 and 4x13.

After Chris's and Lois' discussion about Jackie Mason in the kitchen, the DVD Version continues with two clips already shown in the TV Version.

Peter says to Lois in the living room: "Lois, don't worry about it. I got a bunch of great new shows lined up."

When says that there was nothing sleazy in his TV program, two different clips from his shows follow. While the TV Version shows his before-mentioned "Sideboob Hour" spot (that spot's the reason why Lois calls the FCC), the DVD comes up with a clip of an entirely new show. The show is called "Douchebags" and is a parody of "Jackass".

I'd also like to mention that the first frames of the shot of Lois (after the exterior shot of the house) are different. Appaled by what she's seeing onscreen, she asks "The Sideboob Hour?" in the TV Version.

As already mentioned, the DVD Version continues with Peter's new show "Douchebags". Even the introduction is accompanied by the famous music from the original show.

Shot of Peter on a bridge. Chris says from the off: "All right, Dad. You're on."
Peter: "Hey, PTV fans, welcome to Douchebags. We're out here on the I-95 overpass doing our first segment, 'I dare you to crap off of that'. Basically, we'll spend the day crapping off things that others have dared us to crap off."
Cleveland interrupts: "I dared him."
Peter drops his pants: "All right. Here we go!"
Then a shot of Lois coming closer with her car. Stewiw asks her: "I say, are those two pigs vomiting up there?"
Then they start screaming while looking upwards. Then a black screen a noise of the impact of Peter's crap.
Peter looks down cluelessly. Then a noise of squealing tires and a crash: "Uh-oh."

Back at the Griffins' house. Peter tries to calm down: "Now, Lois. Before you start yelling, let me remind you that you were the one who recklessly drove into oncoming crap."
Lois: "It was inexcusable, Peter. And Stewie may never be able to ride in a car again."
Shot of Stewie shaking in the corner: "Turn off the windshield wipers. They don't work, they're just making it worse!"

According to the audio commentary, that modification needed to be made for TV. The creators got some restrictions but they finally decided to cut the entire scene.
