Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.
The differences: 3 cuts = 1 minute and 41 seconds 1 alternative scene = No difference in time One certainly needs to make no words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". Even those who have not seen it have at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and was aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s. As for the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question. 0 Min
A part of the flashback to the first part was cut out: Alf is sitting in the kitchen while Katherine gives the new microwave a try. Alf: Thanksgiving on Melmac wasn't called Thanksgiving! It was called Fappiano! And we didn't eat turkey! Instead, we sat down to a nice big, juicy, stuffed... Katherine: Time out! We know exactly what you're gonna say, Alf... and you know that we find that offensive! Alf: What was I gonna say? Willie: Cat! Big, juicy, stuffed... Cat! Alf: I was always partial to the dark meat!
Willie spots Flakey – a homeless man – in his garage. Flakey: Sweet-potato pie? Willie: No, thank you, Ed... Whatever your name is! Flakey: Flakey Pete! My friends call me Flakey Pete! Or Flakey Pete Finnegan! But mostly, my friends don't call me because I don't have a phone! Willie: Well, I'm Willie Tanner and this is my garage! Flakey: And that's probably your crowbar! Willie: Yes, it is! And that's my sweater! Were you? Were planning on keeping it? Flakey: I was... until I saw the crowbar! Willie: I'm gonna use it! Flakey: Oh! Well, then I'd like to keep the sweater! 81 Sec
4 Min When Flakey unnoticedly goes to the kitchen, both versions use alternative footage. In the US Version he is standing in front of the opened kitchen door a little longer and looks at Alf. In the German Version we instead see a close-up shot of Alf sitting at the kitchen table and reading a newspaper. No difference in time.
7 Min Trevor and Raquel sing a little longer, followed by a cut to the others who listen but do not seem to be happy about it. 15 Sec
7 min Alf (to Flakey): So we're cool about this alien thing, right? By the way, name's Alf! 5 sec
