After the History Channel stopped producing real history documentaries and started focussing on pseudo-scientific studies (UFOs and such) as well as pseudo documentaries (Pawn Stars) which they are very successful with by the way, they also tried out actual TV shows. The drama series Vikings is one of them and it is quite convincing. On 11/29/2017, season 5 premiered in the US (History) - the episodes are also available on Amazon. On 09/12/2017, before season 5 even premiered, season 6 was green-lit.
With season 4, the number of each has risen. While previous seasons had 10 episodes resp. season 1 had only 9 episodes, season 4 consists of 20 episodes. This is also the case with seasons 5&6. Due to the increased number of episodes, the seasons have been split up. As for the current season 5: The episodes 1-10 are scheduled to be aired from November 2017 until January 2018 and the remaining episodes 11-20 will air later on in 2018. Similar to the previous seasons, season 5 was censored for TV in the US.

Recap only in the TV Version. The Extended Version only contains a small black screen.
TV Version 44.1 sec longer
Bjorn's conversation with Ziyadat Allah is longer. The latter asks about Bjorns companions at which point Bjorn introduces Halfdan and Sinric. Subsequently, Ziyadat Allah explains the had been informed about their journey. With Bjorns question why Ziyadat Allah speaks their language, the versions are back in sync.
Ziyadat Allah pats himself on the back for his hospitality. He then explains Bjorn and the others only had to say the word if there was anything they needed - no matter what.
The subsequent shot is insignificantly longer.
The shot of Floki right before his little reunion with Lagertha starts much earlier.
Alfred watches Torvi work. Then a longer conversation between them. Torvi does not want Alfred to go with Floki because she believes he is insane but Alfred does not think so. He explains his fathere would have wanted it as well but Trvi disagrees. She says it was betrayal on Lagertha but Alfred is convinced the gods are more important. Torvi forbids Alfred to tag along but he does not like being bossed around. Torvi goes back to work, Alfred leaves without saying another word.
69 sec resp. 1 min 9 sec
The TV Version lacks the entire prayer. In order to do so, alternate footage is being used. First of all, there is a small distance shot at the end of which Ivar tosses the apple he bit into right in front of Heahmund's feet. A shot from closer distance follows and Ivars starts a conversation. (10.3 sec)
The Extended Version starts with a distance shot as well, except Heahmund is praying here. Then a distance shot of Heahmund with Ivar patially being in the frame on the left. The Extended Version then continues with the second shot from the TV Version (Ivar starts a conversation) only the shot starts earlier in the Extended Version: At first, bites into the apple. Then he tosses it right in front of Heahmund's feet and starts chewing. (52.3 sec)
The scene with Floki and Ubbe starts sooner: Floki is meditating when Ubbe shows up. He looks at Floki, then he sits down as well. In the TV Version, Ubbe is sitting already.
The subsequent distance shot starts a little earlier as well because one here gets to see the last frames of Ubee sitting down. (no screenshots)
Ziyadat Allah's speech is longer. He specifies what Bjorn and the others are about to get from him.
A single shot is alternate, the content remains unchanged though. While the TV Version contains a close-up of Ziyadat Allah, the Extended Version shows him from a further distance. As a consequene thereof, one gets to see Bjorn as well. In the middle of Ziyadat Allah's comment, the TV Version switches to the very same shot from the Extended Version. In other words, the versions are back in sync. Due to this alteration, the Extended Version is insigficantly longer.
Ziyadat Allah explains more detailed why he does not need Euphemius any longer and why he served him for dinner: Ziyadat Allah wants to conquer Sicily all by himself.
Extended Scene TV Version
For continuity reasons (please see last screenshot of previous alteration), the subsequent shot starts a little earlier in the TV Version.

Additional shot of Floki.
The subsequent shot of Floki starts slightly earlier.
And again, the Extended Version contains additional footage of Floki.
