Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.

The differences:

2 cuts = 1 minute and 49 seconds
1 alternative shot = 10 seconds

One certainly needs to make no words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". Even those who have not seen it have at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and was aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.


As for the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.

Katherine touches Alf's forehead and says, Oh, when is this fever ever gonna break?
Alf starts screaming.
Willie: What? What is it?
Alf: Willie! It's the Angel of Death! Run!
Willie: No, no, Alf, it's okay! It's Kate!
Alf: Oh! I knew it would end like this! A virus, Kate, ragweed trapped in a submarine with nothing to eat but pinto beans!
Willie: Stick with us, pal! After we bake it, what do we do?
Alf: Well, some of us liked to make brownies out of it and take them to Stanley Kubrick movies!
Katherine: I don't think we have time for that! I'll go check on the ragweed!
Alf: Oh! Tell her to relax! Things aren't critical until I think I'm at Tokyo Disneyland with Annette Funicello!
Willie: You're gonna be okay, Alf! We're not gonna leave you!

Katherine hurries towards them and asks Willie how Alf is doing.
Alf: Oh, I loved you in "Muscle Beach Party! Oh!
Katherine: What's he talking about!
Willie: Oh, no! He thinks you're Annette Funicello!
Katherine: Well, it's a step up from the Angel of Death!
Alf: Oh! Hi, Goofy-San! This place is great! Can we go on the Small World ride? I could never remember that song!
Willie: Kate, I think we're running out of time!
Katherine: Yes! Katherine runs into the kitchen.
Willie: You bring that stuff in! We'll just have to feed it to him just like it is and hope that it's enough!

When Katherine wants to give Alf the medicine, he says, Oh, Annette, you forgot the chocolate jimmies! Oh! She must have her ears on too tight!
He can then be seen in a different shot turning away from the spoon with which Katherine wants to feed him.
