Angelique says to Jacques that she is restless and he is boring. Jacques says that she had better not have killed Duc then. Angelique thinks that this was a long time ago. She suggests a trip. Jacques says that they have already made a trip to India. Angelique replies that this was in 1849.
The TC shows two alternative shots of Jacques and Angelique. The latter thinks she is restless and he is boring.

TC: 1 sec [00:12:43][00:26:17] In the TC, you see Jacques put his empty glass on the table for a longer time. He repeats again, "Yes."
TC: 11 sec [00:12:45][00:26:31] The WP cuts to Jacques after the candles are extinguished.

In the TC, the follow up shot begins with the close up of Jacques earlier.

In the TC, John begins his speech by thanking for the applause.
WP: 2 sec TC: 20 sec [00:17:09][00:30:39] In the WP, John apologizes for his brief lapse. He starts a computer program and shows the audience how the cube pieces move on the wall, but it doesn't quite work yet. John apologizes that it wasn't ready yet and walks off stage.
In the TC, John says that Da Vinci meant that a work of art is never finished and he now understands this. Angelique looks at John, who then thanks him and hastily leaves the stage.

At the mansion, Merchant is introduced to Princess Angelique. Duc explains that the cube was designed by Angelique. Merchant shows her the cube, then fades to the cube in the present.
In the TC, the man asks if he can look now. Angelique allows him to do so and says it's time to play a game.

The TC continues to show Pinhead as he says Angelique has been gone too long.

The TC shows Angelique backing away instead.

John has a nightmare about his grandmother. He is sitting in the garden as a child and has drawings of the cube in front of him. His grandmother comes to him and says that he is the one they have been waiting for. In another flashback, Merchant observes men playing a game with the cube. Suddenly, they are tied to their chairs and their faces are burning. Then the grandmother floats away. John wakes up startled. To Bobbi he says that his grandmother wanted to explain something else to him.
An exterior shot of the office building can be seen. Angelique looks at the machine and remembers what John said about working with light. She says that the light would open the gate forever.
In the TC you can see the simulation with the trapped light.
John has another dream and it is of him and Angelique having sex. During the night he is awakened by the ringing of the phone. Angelique wants to meet with him. He arranges to meet her at the office. To Bobbi he says that it was a Japanese client. Suspicious, she goes back to bed.
