36:08 / 05:38 Some dialog is missing. Bow: "You shall not go alone. We stand together in this Rebel brotherhood and…" Adam interrupts him: "Easy, Bow. I appreciate your offer but you're needed here. Besides, one man is less noticable than two. So, I go alone." 12.84 sec
Removed Scene She-Ra Version / Recut 36:39 / 06:22 Now the Magnabeam Transporter sequence in the UK Theatrical Version. Exceot for the end of it when Adora asks what was about to happen to the prisoners. We see Hordak with Mantenna, Adora and Shadow Weaver. Hordak: "At last it's finished. A thing of beauty." Imp is standing next to Hordak and yawns. Then he asks: "What is it?" Hordak yells at him, Imp falls over. Then Hordak explains: "This, Imp, is the most fearsome weapon in the Horde arsenal. Behold the Magnabeam Transporter." Shadow Weaver approaches Hordak: "What does it do?" Even though I was hoping Hordak would respond with "It turns blue.", he actually says: "Watch! *small pause* See that battle wagon? It was wrecked during the last battle with the Rebellion. It is of no use to me, so…" Hordak flips a switch and the Magnabeam Transporter makes the Battle Wagon disappear. Mantenna's eyes pop out of the sockets: "Where did it go?" Hordak explains: "Look on the view screen." We then get to see on the screen what happens to te Battle Wagon. Shadow Weaver: "You sent it to the Valley of the Lost?" Hordak laughs: "Exactly. No one has ever returned from the Valley of the Lost. And with this Magnabeam, I shall at last rid myself of those pests who call themselves rebels. Till now, they have hidden from me in the Whispering Woods but those woods shall protect them no longer. Once the Magnabeam is at full power, I will transport the entire Whispering Woods to the Valley of the Lost. And all the rebels with it." Once again, Hordak laughs diabolically, Shadow Weaver seems thrilled: "Oh, wunderful. Shall we do it now?" Hordak: "Not yet. The ray must be at full charge and that will take some time." Hordak pushes a button and everyone present gets beamed to the plunder room. Hordak explains: "Here in the plunder room is the energy source for the Magna ray. The ray uses the energy of will power." Hordak orders his men to throw the villager in the Magnabeam Charter to suck out his will power in order to charge his Magna Ray. Hordak explains: "This rebel was caught trying to stop a Horde trooper from arresting his brother." Villager: "And I'd do it again you evil tyrant. The power of Etheria will not bow to rule by force. Not now, not ever." Hordak: "As you can see he has great strength of will. Foolishly misguided, he will do nicely." Hordak activates his machine. The villager threatens: "Hordak. One day, we shall drive you and your criminal crew away from this planet. And Etheria will be free again." The villager gets weaker, as one can hear in his voice: "I feel so week. What is happening to me?" The bars on Hordak's machine go up but Hordak seems disappointed by the result: "He had less power than I'd hoped. Charging the Magnabeam will take a long time with such week material. We must capture more rebels." (Adora: "What happens to the prisoners afterwards?" Hordak: "They make excellent servants for Horde Generals. Don't they, slave?" The villager raises his head and says: "Yes, Master.") Please note: The last part is missing in the UK Theatrical Version. And since the scene is almost identical in the She-Ra Version (please see 35:40 / 01:19), there are no screenshots here. UK Theatrical Version 192.68 sec resp. 3 min and 12.68 sec longer Removed Scene 42:20 / 08:51 After Shadow Weaver's "The Rebel is inside the Fright Zone now, Hordak.", a shot of Hordak's men resp. of He-Man disguised as Horde Trooper follows. He-Man: "Well, I've made it into Doom Tower. So far, so good but finding Force Captain Adora in a place this size is not going to be easy." Then He-Man spots Adora: "Wait a minute. There she is." With the following shot of Hordak and Shadow Weaver, the versions are back in sync. 15.72 sec
Removed Scene She-Ra Version 44:23 / 11:10 After Adora's order "To the plunder room with the Rebel!", there is a dissolve to the next scene with Shadow Weaver in the UK Theatrical Version. Basically, the scene is identical in the She-Ra Version - except for the black screen between the two scenes. In addition to that, the (following) shot of Shadow Weaver begins insignificantly earlier in the UK Theatrical Version which makes this version longer, despite the missing black screen. UK Theatrical Version 1.36 sec longer
Removed Scene 46:07 / 12:52 Adora hears the Sorceress's voice and goes to the window. Then the next cut in the UK Theatrical Version. Adora sieht He-Man in the Magnabea Transporter in her mind's eye (if you will). Slightly startled, she says: "Oh, something strange is happening." In the UK Theatrical Version, she just goes to the window and says instantaneously: "Something strange is happening.". She neither sees He-Man nor is she startled by it. 11.44 sec
Removed Scene 49:20 / 16:16 The transformation sequence is shorter. In the UK Theatrical Version, we see He-Man for a brief (as usual with Castle Grayskull in the background), then we hear "He-Man" one time (also as usual during the transformation sequence). We then see She-Ra getting away from the closed door right before it explodes. The She-Ra Version contains the entire transformation sequence - incl. the second part ("I have the power"). Then She-Ra in front of the closed door. Being outside, Hordak says: "Stand away from that door, men." She-Ra: "It's Hordak." Then Hordak again: "Alright, stand back now." Not until then, She-Ra gets out of the way and the door explodes. In this context, the scene makes much more sense because the UK Theatrical Version begs the question how She-Ra knew the door was going to explode any second. 12.56 sec
Removed Scene 52:48 / 19:56 After She-Ra's "He-Man, I think we have a lot to talk about.", the third She-Ra episode ends. While the UK Theatrical Version contains a transition to the following scene, the She-Ra Version contains a freeze frame. Then the end credits. (no screenshots) 32.76 sec Removed Scene 52:48 / 00:00 As always, the forth She-Ra episode begins with the opening - followed by the title of the episode. As already mentioned at the beginning of this comparison, we now get to see the "regular" opening which by the way is a lot like the opening of Masters of the Universe - except for the characters in it, of course. In comparison, the opening of the first 3 episodes is a bit different. (no screenshots) 79.12 sec Removed Scene 57:49 / 06:21 The dialog regarding Queen Angella's rescue is longer in the She-Ra Version. Bow: "Even if we could get to Tallon Mountain, we couldn't take on the Harpes. They're too powerful." Glimmer: "But we have to try." With Glimmer's following comment ("She's my mother."), the versions are back in sync. 6.72 sec
Removed Scene 58:06 / 06:44 A small scene with He-Man, She-Ra and Swift Wind is missing. She-Ra: "Tired, Swift Wind?" Swift Wind: "Not at all, I love flying." She-Ra: "Me too. Look, there it is. Tallon Mountain." 10.52 sec
Removed Scene She-Ra Version 58:06 / 06:55 The shot starts earlier in the Theatrical Version. UK Theatrical Version 4.64 sec longer
Removed Scene 58:29 / 07:13 Three more missing shots of the Harpes watching Queen Angella are missing in the UK Theatrical Version. 11.92 sec
