More shots of the O.S.I. building, then a voice-over.
Nurse: "Colonel, this testing procedure probes in depth, the functioning of the physical aspects of the bionic transplants that were used in the modifications of your body. The speed of ist analysis accomplishes in seconds what ordinary approaches could only accomplish through literally months of study. The accuracy is invaluable also in the psychological evaluation of your emotional changes which ha staken place in your psyche because of the radical physical replacements. Don't worry about your hands functioning. It's effectiveness will increase with time, Colonel Austin."
The last words are audible during a few shots of Steve and Oscar. Footage of a hand on Steve's and follows. This scene is accompanied by another comment by the nurse: "Perfect, perfect. Not a scratch."
Now, the actual storyline begins (if you will).
Oscar (to the nurse): "You don't have to wait."
Now to Steve: "Steve, I want to see you in my office right away."
While he is reaching for his jacket, Steve says to the nurse: "Alright, I guess we'll finish up tomorrow."
Steve and Oscar leave, the nurse is left behind. The scene continues in Oscar's office.
Oscar: "For the past 6 months, someone's been following our various ambassadors throughout the world. Three days ago, Ambassador Scott was kidnapped. The ransom price: a million and a half dollars. The demand has gone through several intermediaries ending up with our people. Steve, it's obviously the work of an international organization."
Steve: "Why wasn't I told about this before?"
Oscar: "You had other assignments to complete, we thought we could handle this ourselves. Security was doubled, tripled. We checked all personnel at the embassies for the past year. Nothing. Zero. "
Steve: "I take it the case in my hands now."
Oscar: "Right. And the Secretary wants action and he wants it fast."
Steve: "Where do I start?"
Oscar: "Some of the material here will help you. Steve, check out every person on Scott's staff. Concentrate on personnel who can secretly have access and contact with top priority material. I want you to get this inside man, I want you to break that kidnap ring. And most of all, find out who's behind all this."
Afterwards, a plane with Steve on board takes off. Further shots of the plane and Steve follow. Subsequently, Steve is in a chopper. Then in a car.
In the car, Steve is being told: "Colonel Austin, I'll pick you up in a helicopter in exactly 30 minutes. I'll circle east of the temple so you can see me."
A shot of two workers follows, then the two shots before the cut (two armed guards + Ambassador Scott) one more time.
With the following shot of Steve, the versions are back in sync.
