Comparison between the international version and the Spanish extended version (both included on the American/British Blu-ray from Arrow Video)
Additionally, 2 missing moments in the Spanish version with a duration of 4.5 seconds. Other minor template errors with a duration of less than 0.5 seconds were not listed in the editing report. In 1970, Mario Camus directed the Spanish-Italian co-production Wrath of the Wind, in which Terence Hill, who had recently become popular with his Western performances, was paired with Spanish star Fernando Rey (French Connection, Viridiana). Originally conceived in Andalusia as a pure "period drama" with socio-political themes, the film was mostly marketed as a Western, thanks to Hill's popularity. In Italy, a heavily cut version circulated on VHS with a duration of just over 80 minutes, which removed much of the initial plot background. For international distribution in English-speaking countries and Germany, a version is common that trims many small bits within scenes, especially in the first 30 minutes. Political backgrounds are also somewhat reduced here, particularly regarding the intentions of the revolutionaries. Some small bursts of violence also fell victim to the editing scissors. However, most of the interventions seem to be a tightening to achieve a slightly more concise runtime of just under 100 minutes. Since December 19, 2023, the film has been available from Arrow Video in a Blu-ray set with I Want Him Dead, El Puro, and Four of the Apocalypse by Lucio Fulci. The main film here is the version in Italian and English, which can be referred to as the "international version". This version, with the best visual quality, is generally acceptable. As a bonus, the longer "Spanish version" is included, whose master is slightly darker but still solid HD overall. Runtime information is arranged according to the schema: The main film on the Blu-ray (= international version) starts with restoration notes and the Interfilm logo. The Spanish version has an introductory quote from Shakespeare on a black background.

Everything must be cleared up soon, including the two murders. José also asks once again for the demands to be accepted. Carlos complains that further unrest could follow and the judge replies that the law will take action. He also threatens to confiscate the weapons of Don Antonio's men. Don Antonio then says that he is ready for negotiations if Marco is arrested. As they leave, the judge asks José about Marco. If he is a contract killer, the villagers should not be covering for him. José remains adamant. 147.8 sec (= 2:28 min)
89:08 / 96:20-96:21 Master error: Marco can be seen a moment earlier. 0.8 sec
Different end fade-in.
