This is a comparison between the shortened new UK DVD released by Optimum Home Entertainment (BBFC 18) and the uncut DVD released by Ascot / Retrofilm.

For years, this kult 80's thrash actioner was only available in a heavily censored version that missed out on more than 4 minutes. In 2011, Optimum Home Entertainment released a longer version. The movie is still censored though: the animal cruelty scenes are not shown. All the other aspects that were cut out in the M.I.A. releases (i.e. heavy violence and the usage of ninja weapons) are in the new version.
What is quite interesting is the fact that the second animal cruelty scene is shorter than on the old M.I.A. VHS tapes and DVDs. The first scene, however, is more graphic than the old UK version.

The uncut version which we used - the MGM master - can be purchased in the USA or European countries like Germany.

At this point, the new UK version is shorter than the old one: After the shot of Cole the new UK DVD immediately cuts to bad guys climbing over the fence.

We miss out on Frank's friend arriving with a rooster in his hands. He says that they're about to organise another fight. The workers throw the animals in the middle of their circle. Meanwhile, Zachi Noy and his bad guys show up.
