Comparison between the US Version and the Uncut Version (both on the US-DVD from Columbia TriStar)
- US Version: 108:36 min including ending credits in NTSC - Uncut: 111:47 min including ending credits in NTSC 1 cut Duration: 159 sec (= 2:39 min) (The remaining difference derives from different credits/logos) Even th third movie of the Once Upon A Time In China series, still directed by Tsui Hark, has been cut in the USA. Unlike the first movie though, only one single scene has been removed in which Aunt Yee is trying to teach Wong English words - which wouldn't quite work out in an English dubbed movie. Both versions are contained on the US-DVD. Running time data taken from the US Version in NTSC Note: The US Boxset also contains the US as well as the Uncut Version of Part 2. However, the running time difference of about a minute derives solely from different logos and credits as well as one alternative shot among the credits so there will be no report for the second movie.
