Comparison between the TV Version and the Extended Version.
4 differences, among of them 2 with alternate footage
Length difference: 28.2 sec
All Blu-ray releases of this cult series unfortunately only contain the TV-Version of all of the episodes. Viewers who already know the Extended Versions from the DVD boxes will miss the additional footage.
Episode 3x15 (The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break) contains almost 30 seconds of new footage. The additional moment with Joey at the beginning is quite funny and so is his dance number with Chandler.
Only the TV Version contains Phoebe and the mini-globe one more time.
The Extended Version shows an alternate take of Joey getting up and screwing around with the olives. He pulled them over his fingers and mumbles: "People of Earth, surrender!"
While Monica and Phoebe look confused, he explains: "Giant alien. Five tiny heads."
Extended Version 11.8 sec longer
Black screen after the opening.
+ 1 sec
Alternate take when Ross asks "What's going on?". Only the Extended Version contains the subsequent additional dialog.
Rachel: "Well, uh, kind of having an underwear emergency."
Ross: "Oh, yeah? What happened? Someone scare you? Make you laugh too hard?"
Extended Version 6 sec longer
Black screen due to a commercial break in the TV Version.
+ 0.6 sec
The Extended Version shows Joey and Chandler dancing one more time.
Joey realizes: "Okay, now we're just dancing with each other."
Rather clumsy, they dance their way back in the crowd.
In the TV Version, the previous shot of Chloe and Ross at the bar is insigficantly longer (no screenshots).
Extended Version 10.4 sec longer
