Compared is the British cut DVD (BBFC18) by Universal and the uncut German DVD (FSK 16) by Warner/VCL.

Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow filmed the script by her ex-husband James Cameron in 1995. Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) is a dealer for illegal stuff, so-called clips. Those clips are used and record everything of the consumer like emotions and feelings. The black market gives a lot of profit for Lenny. However, one day he expieriences the rape and murder of the prostitute Iris. Lenny is under suspicion and tries to find the true murderer to prove his innocence.
