Looks like FOX wants to fly high with the Family Guy releases in the UK. While the recently released US box "Vol. 9" at least contains the last episodes of S8 plus the first ones of S9 (available as S10 in the UK since May 2011! / the comparisons are already online), S11 (aka Vol. 10 in the US) is available since November 2011 in the UK. This DVD box contains the remaining episodes of S9. Unfortunately, this DVD release doesn't contain any audio commentaries like the previous releases did. It might be, but that's just an assumption of mine, that the commentaries haven't been recorded so far because the release of the US counterpart "Vol. 10" isn't yet in sight. The episodes themselves are completely uncensored, as usual.
The thirteenth on the box, 9x16('The Big Bang Theory'), offers a lot of uninteressting extensions of plot. Because of both being main actors in this epidsode, the extensions are mainly dialoges between Stewie and Brian. Nothing special and completely unnecessary is the repeated scene in the beginning.
Stewie says in the TV version "Geez, ...", on DVD "Jesus, ..."
DVD version is 0,2 sec longer
Unnecessary: When Stewie enters the time maschine, the DVD version continues earlier and reapeats how Lois leaves the house and Peter is sneaking behing Brian into the kitchen.
The TV version offers more sense and continues when Stewie comes to Brian - at the moment when the situation is changing.
The TV version shows the Griffin's house for one second longer.
On the DVD an additional scene presents again how Stewie demonstrates his superiority towards Brian.
Stewie: "You know, what's cool? Lois let me stay up till 7:30 last night to watch Phineas & Ferb. I'm so tired from staying up that late."
Brian: "Stewie, security called. They found your breath mints."
Stewie: "Oh, good one, Brian. Turn the page."
Stewie: "Turn the page."
He does and finds a notice.
Brian: "What the...? How did you?"
Stewie jumps up with a pleased glimpse and walks with a raised finger and backwards out of the room.
Another longer animation of the house occurs.
DVD version is 25 sec longer
Brian and Stewie are sitting earlier at the table.
Stewie: "So, Brian, I see you're enjoying that cup of Joe. I thought you'd like it."
Brian: "What? You made the coffee?"
Stewie: "Created it, yeah."
Brian unnervedly puts him off; "Oh, for God's sake..."
Stewie corrects: "Stewie's... For Stewie's sake."
Brian: "But...why didn't we disappear?"
Stewie: "I can only surmise that the explosion from my old return pad irradiated us in highly charged chronoton particles, allowing us to momentarily survive."
Brian: "Boy, that was lucky."
Stewie: "Yeah, things worked out."
Because of reasons of continuation, the position of Stewie's arms differs in the first frames (no pictures).
