Compared are the TV Version and the Extended Version

7 differences, incl. 4x alternate footage
Length difference: 27 sec

New season, old problem: Any Blu-ray release worldwide only contains the TV Version of every single episode while, for instance, the US and UK DVDs contain the Extended Versions.

Episode 4x14 (The One with Joey’s Dirty Day) is approx. half a minute longer. Quite nice is the fact that guest star Charlton Heston has a little more screen time in the Extended Version.
Alternate
01:10-01:15

After Chandler staggers with the duckling to the bathroom, Monica comments in the Extended Version: "You know what is so sweet? Those birds have not left his side the whole time."
Rachel: "Yeah, I wish that rooster were dead."

Then some alternate footage of Monica walking over to Joey.

Extended Version 7.1 sec longer

TV Version (Blu-ray)Extended Version

02:34-02:36

Additional black screen in the TV Version due to a commercial break.

1.2 sec

Alternate
03:04-03:13

The scene ends differently.

In the TV Version, Joshua leaves the room, Rachel gives the mannequin an angry look and Mr. Waltham comes in.

In the Extended Version, she turns around instead and the mannequin comes in. Joshua smiles for a moment, the footage of him leaving the room is shorter Rachel is more upset about the mannequin: "Damn you!"

Extended Version 3.2 sec longer

TV Version (Blu-ray)Extended Version

Alternate
04:59-05:02

In the TV Version, they point out that the statement "Just take ‘em off and we’ll have some fun" by Ross was suggestive.

In the Extended Version, Phoebe makes an additional comment subsequent to an alternate reaction shot: "Wow, and I can't resist that line. That's why I never wear sweatpants."

Extended Version 7.1 sec longer

TV Version (Blu-ray)Extended Version

Alternate
10:47-11:03 bzw 11:11

Black screen due to a commercial break when Rachel has just learned that Ross is in Velmont with Emily. As a result, the shot of Rachel is a little longer. After the commercial break, she then repeats the facts in the TV Version and hits Chandler in the process.

The Extended Version simply contains a small shot of Chandler and Monica instead, then Ross again. Rachel hitting Chandler is approx. 8 seconds later in the Extended Version, right before Emily enters the room. The first shot of that is alternate - screenshots only for that.

TV Version 2.5 sec longer

TV Version (Blu-ray)Extended Version

The Blu-ray contains a freeze frame of the exterior shot of Joey's studio in minute 13 while the Extended Version slowly pans to the entrance.

15:02-15:03

Subsequent to Monica's embarrassing comment, Rachel has to top it so she says to the strip club waitress: "Oh, and Sharon, you know what? You might want to..."
She points at her top and Sharon buttons it up a little which upsets Chandler.

In the TV Version, the subsequent shot starts insignificantly earlier (no screenshots).

Extended Version 4 sec longer

17:26

Joey longer on the way to the door: "Sorry, I'm really sorry."
Charlton Heston says with a smile on his face: "What a business."
