Comparison between the TV version and the DVD version, the latter represented by the US DVD set "Season 17"
Same procedure as every year: The next DVD set of Family Guy, available in the U.S. since December 2019, contains all episodes of season 17, some of which are also available in an extended or simply uncensored form compared to the original TV versions. A sticker on the plastic foil gives this away, but on the set itself there are no further hints.
Episode 17x04 ("Big Trouble in Little Quahog") has a short additional scene, which extends a previous joke ( the person behind a fake sounding name really exists) in another insert. Along with this, a small part of the TV version was removed.
Since the TV version is already 3 insignificant frames longer in the previous lateral animation, the only thing you see here is how Stewie gets the machine running; "I just need to reroute the circuits.
As he connects the wires, the light turns red.
In the DVD version Stewie says in more detail instead:
"I'll reroute the circuits, but, Brian, I should warn you. This will delete all of your Microsoft Word files."
Brian: "Ah, darn. I had a huge manuscript I was almost done writing, but I guess it's gone now."
Stewie: "Well, what's the name? Maybe I can find it."
Brian: "Well, it's a-a biography of a very important man."
Stewie: "Uh-huh. Yeah, what-what's his name?"
Brian: "Mportanty . .. Mansion."
Stewie: "Importanty Manston. Yeah, nice try, Brian."
Here's a one-act play where a woman calls out from offstage, "Importanty, come down for dinner."
The busy man at the table replies, "Not now. I'm drafting this global legislation."
"Importanty Manston, you get down here this instant."
He walks away with his eyes lowered and you can see a photograph of Brian in his wedding dress next to the man.
DVD version is 36,7 sec longer
