The console version of the game Call of Juarez, released in 2006, has been released only in a slightly censored version worldwide. Only blood textures on the characters have been removed, all other gory effects are included in the XBox 360 version.

In contrast to rumours found on internet pages, it is also possible on the XBox 360 version to light up petroleum lamps by shooting at them, leading to enemies holding the lamp catching fire and burning to death.
