Comparison between the TV version and the Extended Version 02:08-02:10
After the credits, the Extended version has an introductory exterior shot instead of a black screen. Extended 1.3 sec longer
04:35 Phoebe starts playing 'Madlibs': “Okay, name of someone in the room.” Joey: "Chandler.” Phoebe: "Come on, seriously.” Chandler then names more things earlier than in the TV version: ”What do you got in here? Magazines, Doritos, (Condoms?)” 9.8 sec
05:09 After Ross has wondered how Rachel's dog was still alive at all, she energetically holds out the note to him again. Ross: “Ohh! Sorry.” 12 sec
05:31-05:35 Other stock footage for scene transition - at least the first shot, which is then softly blended into the identical second shot. No time difference
Alternative 05:45-05:49 In the Extended, Chandler says: “This is so great. No one's gonna come in and bother us. And we're gonna do it.” He shouts: "I'm gonna do it with Monica!” Monica shouts something, too: "Chandler! Stop yelling that you and I are gonna do it!”
The TV version has a different shot of the transition because Chandler moves over to her here as well.
Extended 11.6 sec longer Alternative 06:11-06:16 After Monica, looking at the glasses with lipstick on them, wonders how clean the room is, Chandler says in Extended: “You wanna switch rooms because they didn't change the glasses?” Monica: “Well, oh, I didn't wanna say anything but the carpet smells too.” The TV version has two other shots of Chandler and the way he turns to her. Monica's "Come on sweetie" is also from a different take than in the Extended version. Extended 5.3 sec longer
06:28 In Central Perk, Phoebe can be seen playing something at first, but she is just singing “La-la-la.” A man walks in and she stops playing in frustration; ”Forget it.” Rachel gestures to Ross and after he puts down his water bottle, the TV version begins. 16.6 sec
Alternate 07:27-07:33 When Ross says “I Can't See You Anymore,” Rachel replies in an alternate take, “Yeah, I know. It's ridiculous! I can't see you either.” She only gets up in the extended version; "Y'know what? I'm just gonna go shove a bunch of tissues in my nose. Oh hey, do you wanna tell me while I do that?” Ross: "I'm good.” Extended 9.6 sec longer
07:42-07:44 In the TV version, Chandler looks up at the hotel clerk enthusiastically as he says, “They say he's only got half a tank left.” + 1.9 sec
07:48 In the following shot of the extended version, the hotel employee says: “I'll bet he's heading for Canada.” Chandler: ”They always do.” 5 sec
07:51-07:52 Monica's shot starts a little earlier in the TV version. + 0.6 sec
08:00-08:02 While the hotel employee is shown a little longer after his retort to Monica (including the audience laughter) in the TV version, Monica says in the Extended: “The carpet smelled.” Chandler: "Like ocean?” Monica: "No, like feet.” Extended 5.8 sec longer
08:32 In the Extended, Chandler turns around and enthusiastically asks the hotel employee: “Oh man, he almost hit a gas truck?” Hotel employee: ”Do you ever watch Baywatch?” Chandler smiles and puts his arm around him. 11.4 sec
08:41 Chandler says: “I wanted to see them talk to his neighbors.” Monica: "Well, I'm standing right here, you could talk to me.” Chandler is not thrilled: "You didn't know him.” 7,2 sec
Alternative 09:26-09:27 The scene ends differently. In the TV version, the two are seen again in a medium long shot, and there is a soft fade to the scene with Rachel.
In the Extended, Monica says: “You know what Chandler? You like getaways? Watch this.” She walks out of the room and Chandler says: ”I don't like fast getaways! I like car chases!” Then there is a soft transition to Rachel.
Extended 11,6 sec longer Alternative 09:45-09:49 In the Extended, after Rachel says, “Okay, what's up?” Ross first says, “Okay, before I tell you I just have to know....is your nose okay?” Rachel: ”Yeah.” Ross: “Are all the other family pets in good health?” Rachel: ”Well, uh, let's see. Davey's still pining after LaPooh, but you know, he's a tough little turtle.”
When Ross then walks across the room, there is an alternative take for continuity reasons.
Extended 13.5 sec longer Alternatively 11:23-11:28 Black screen ad break: In the TV version, Ross can be seen for a moment longer, while the Extended already fades to an exterior shot. TV version 2 sec longer
Alternative 11:53-11:54 In response to the comment that he saw Donald Trump in front of an elevator, Joey says in the Extended: “You know, at the Taj Mahal, he has his own private glass elevator. That's right. Made by Otis Elevators. And they usually don't do glass.” Chandler: ”What kinds of stuff do you know?” Joey shrugs his shoulders. The TV version has a different reaction shot of Joey without comment instead. Extended 13.2 sec longer
Alternative 12:39-12:42 In the Extended version, Chandler tries to justify himself after Joey's reaction to the supposedly stolen 20. Chandler: “I was only stealing it back, the one that she stole from me.” Monica: ”Stealing and now lying.” The TV version has a different reaction shot of Chandler instead. Extended 5.5 sec longer
Alternative 14:33-14:35 More dialog in Extended, after Rachel says it couldn't happen to Ross. Phoebe: “Kip didn't even have to be Kip. We handled that all wrong. It was a long time ago.” Joey: “Yeah Rach. And it was before you and me were around. They didn't know what they were doing. Chandler had a mustache for crying out loud.” At the end, Rachel is seen a little earlier. The TV version, instead, has a different reaction shot of Chandler. Extended 15.8 sec longer
20:49 Some more dialog after Chandler stops Joey from telling the news to everyone right away. The word in parentheses can be heard again. Chandler: “No-no-no-no-no! You can't!” Monica: "Please. Now, I know this is hard.” Joey: "It is. It hurts.” Monica: "We know. (Please?)" 6.5 sec
