After the shot of two people getting out of the elevator, the versions continue differently.

Original Broadcast Version:
Shot of an air traffic controller, accompanied by the Controller on the radio.
Controller: "This is AS-01. B-52 is ready for taxi."
We now hear (and see) Steve: "It's hot in here. Let's get this show on the road."
More footage of air traffic controllers on their job, followed by another shot of the elevator. This time, three people are getting out and Oliver Spencer, who seems to be getting more and more annoyed by this, is now alone in the elevator. Then Steve takes off. (44,8 sec)

Expanded Syndication Version:
Steve takes off, then an interior shot with Steve in it. Several shots of the O.S.I. Laboratory follow. (61,17 sec)

With the shot of Spencer entering the room where a staff meeting takes place, the versions are back in sync.

After the first part of the staff meeting, the Original Broadcast Version lacks a few scenes resp. only the Expanded Syndication Version contains the following radio transmissions.
Chase 2: "NASA One, this is Chase 2. Everything looks good from here."
NASA One: "Roger. Stable here and you can go ahead and give us a feedback."
Steve answers incomprehensible, then an interior shot of the control station. With the following shot, the versions are back in sync.

When Steve is talking to NASA One on the radio, there is alternate footage when Steve makes the following comment:
Steve: "OK, you're cutting out. Someone's keying your mic. Let's get off the test frequency. Let's put in another 30 seconds, NASA One."
The Original Broadcast Version contains exterior shots of the plane, the Expanded Syndication Version shows Steve instead. With the small shot of Steve in the Original Broadcast Version, the versions are back in sync.

With Steve's "OK." and NASA One's following comment ("This is NASA One, calling 10 seconds now."), the versions are back in sync.

After NASA One's "OK, Steve. Check your dampers, old buddy.", a small comment of Steve has been removed from the Original Broadcast Version.
Steve: "Igniting 3 and 4. I have ignition."
With the following exterior shot of the plane (when Steve says "Engines on. Take her to 400."), the versions are back in sync.

During Steve's comment "I don't like that too well. However, the gains are open.", the angle changes in the Original Broadcast Version. At first, we see Steve from behind. Then a close-up of Steve.
The Expanded Syndication Version sticks to the shot of Steve from behind permanently.
From now on, the versions differ contentwise as well resp. only the Expanded Syndication Version shows Steve attempting to regain control.
With Steve's "Oh, she's really osciliating now.", the versions are back in sync.

Alternate footage during Steve's comment "Rog. OK, NASA One, I'm gonna try to cut it short.".
In the Original Broadcast Version, the comment continues - the shot remains the same.
Steve: "(Rog. OK, NASA One, I'm gonna try to cut it short) by angling off to the compass rose."
That additional part of Steve's comment is audible during the beginning of the next equal shot. (5.8 sec)
The Expanded Syndication Version shows Steve's attempt to regain control one more time. In between an interior shot of the space center and some footage of Rudy on the runway a little later. Of course, Rudy alo notices that Steve is in trouble. (51.2 sec)
With the interior shot of the cockpit, the versions are back in sync. But as already pointed out, one gets to hear the last few words of Steve's comment in the Original Broadcast Version. Since the Expanded Syndication Version contains additional footage between the two scenes, these last words (…by angling off the compass rose.) are missing for obvious reasons.
