This is a comparison between the European Version (PS 2) and the American Version (PS 2).

The TV series already has a history of censorship.
Unfortunately, the first game of the Budokai-triology had to be censored in Europe.

The fights, as well as the characters' attacks stayed the same, however, some of the cutscenes were retouched in order to cover up blood effects. It has to be said though, that despite this retouching, a lot of these cutscenes are still very brutal since the characters still get killed.

After the "Special Beam Canon" all blood was retouched.

During Trunks' finisher and the following shot, the animation of King Cold is less bloody.
(It's hard to see the difference.)

In the third picture you can see that yamcha's shadow was expanded in order to make the sequence more dark!
