Compared are the TV Version and the DVD Version (US DVD Set "Season 15")
- 2 differences, incl. 1x censored audio
- Length difference: 40.4 sec
Even though Seth MacFarlane is currently pretty busy with his incredible Star Trek hommage The Orville, his first baby still airs on a regular basis. And once again, the time has come: The latest US DVD Set of Famil Guy contains the entire season 15. Compared to the original FOX TV Versions, the DVDs contain either extended or simply uncensored episodes - this time, it reads "16 are totally uncensored, but the other 4 are still ridiculously funny" on the back cover. Time to take a closer look.
Episode 5 ("Chris Has Got a Date, Date, Date, Date, Date") contains a rather long additional scene at the beginning: Stewie gets to obsess about Taylor Swift more excessively. Later on, an F-bomb has been censored.
There are no differences in Episode 4. Interestingly enough, Peter's comment in the 9th minute is censored when he says something to the producers after getting fired. In addition to that, the sex pictures with Minions have been pixelated. Both seems to be intentional though which is why it is still censored on DVD.
Before Peter introduces to the Uber, Chris prepares for the Taylor Swift video. Stewie is giving some advice, Brian critizes him once again.
Stewie: "All right, Chris, if this is going to work, we need to show Taylor that you're a real fan. So mention her cats, Meredith and Olivia. They're named after Meredith Grey of Grey's Anatomy and Olivia Benson from Law and Order SVU."
Brian: "This is stupid."
Stewie: "This is not stupid! This is not stupid."
Brian: "Look, even if she does this wouldn't you rather go to the dance with a real singer? Not an auto-tuned, pop music flash-in-the-pan."
Stewie: "You know who likes the kind of music you like? People who are dead."
Brian: "Yeah, whatever."
When he is gone, Chris asks: "Are you and Brian a couple?"
Stewie: "What? No, no, no. Kind of. But, no, we... Look, let me just help you make this video. Why? Did he say something?"
Meg's comment is uncensored: "'Cause she's a fucking show."
