Compared are the US Version (US DVD by Miracle) and the uncut Italian Version (Italian DVD by Millenium Storm).

In the stone age, good-looking Filli lives in peace with a few men. Their daily routine is hunting, eating and sex - until one day, devious Ham shows up in their lives. He exploits the men's simple-mindedness and tells them it was all about the Benjamins. From that point on, they more and more depend on Ham who makes them his bitches. The former paradise becomes a world more and more controlled by capitalism the cavemen are entirely unfamiliar with.

Basically, When Women Lost Their Tails is a reckoning with capitalism that leads to keep the eager mass on a short leash so that a very few can live the most luxurious life. The most visual appeal are, of course, Senta Berger's breasts that ae barely covered during the entire movie. All in all, a surprisingly entertaining mixture of a profound plot, stupid jokes and Senta Berger's rack.

The US DVD by Miracle lacks a few minutes though. Only can assume whether some of the scenes were simply too much - despite the obvious over the top humor - because what other reason could there be for the abscene of scenes such as Katorcia gnawing at the severed hand or the attempt to actually cook a child is missing as well. It appears the DVD is based on some VHS source. The VHS on the other hand appears to be based on some movie role scan because there are minor jump cuts throughout the entire movie. At the end of the movie, the number increases which kind of makes it hard to still follow. Interesting are the explanatory texts on the plates which are in English now. Due to the cuts, the jump cuts and the bad picture quality, the US DVD should be avoided under any circumstances - even though it does not cost much.
