Compared are the cut episodes on the US DVD by Lions Gate / FOX and the uncut episodes on the German DVD by Warner Home Video.

The differences:

4 cuts = 1 minute and 53 seconds
2 alternative scenes = 25 seconds

One certainly needs to make no words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". Even those who have not seen it have at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and was aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.

As for the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.

Alf: (The guy on the radio said this company called Sendrax is one of the nation's largest suppliers of CFCs!)
Willie: And now you're sending a letter to the station to thank them! Please, God, that's all it is!
Alf: This happens to be a letter to the head honcho of Sendrax!
Katherine: A letter? Good for you!
Alf: Well, thank you! Anyone care to read it? It's quite, quite, quite good!

In the US Version, Alf's sentence "This happens to be a letter to the head honcho of Sendrax!" can be heard in a different shot.

Katherine: Alf, you have got to think, what did you say in those letters?
Alf: Well, there were so many! I don't recall any one underlying theme!
Willie: Does "threat, squat and run" mean anything to you?
Alf: Well, maybe one underlying theme!
Katherine: Oh, look at that, it's punishment time!
Lynn: What did the lawyer say, Dad?
Willie: He said he bills by the quarter-hour and that he generally discourages people from antagonizing corporations that have more resources than God!
Alf: Well, may I offer a few feeble words in my own defense?
Willie and Katherine look at Alf and do not seem to be too enthusiastic.
Alf: Thank you! That company is doing bad things! And I say we pick up their gauntlet and nail them to the wall! Right, Brian?
Brian reads in his book and then says: What? I'm sorry, what?
Katherine: It might not be such a bad idea to meet with Sendrax and beg for mercy!
Willie sighs.
Katherine: No, in a dignified way, of course!
Willie: I never had to grovel! Should I start on my knees or should I build up to it?

When Willie enters Steven's office, we do not see Steven immediately making him come over while he is still on the phone: Pete! Michaels! Yeah! See if you can get me a tanning bed at 5:30! I'm going to Saint-Tropez and I don't wanna look like the twin moons of Jupiter out there! Okay!

Steven picks up the phone and says to Willie: These people think they can just kick my white butt out of here! By this time next week, they're gonna have to turn me over to recognize me! Then he gets the call. In the US Version we instead just see a shot of Willie.

Steve: You know, I'm not really a bad guy! I care about things too! I do! Maybe not very deeply, but all the same, I love the outdoors! And I think the Earth is just a great, great place! Really, I mean that! It is! Yeah! You play raquetball?
Willie: Afraid not!
