Compared are the TV Version and the DVD Version, the latter represented by the US DVD set "Volume 12".
11 differences, among them two with censored audio track and five with additional footage Length difference: 32.8 sec Here we go. New DVD set, new bunch of comparisons. The here compared US release "Volume 12" contains all episodes of Season 11. Contrary to the US TV Versions, all the DVD Versions are uncut and uncensored. Episode 14 ("Call Girl") differs in running time for about half a minute and was quite extensively edited. This episode contains some nice combinations of beeps and blurs, apart from some minor cuts in order to tighten the plot in the TV version. It's a bit of a pity that the whole part with the "Stewman Group" is missing on the DVD due to a different cutaway. It contains a rather crude swear word scene instead. Alternative
02:53-02:55 Peter with the falcon is shown earlier and the animation then differs when Quagmire joins him, because there's some more dialogue in the DVD version. Only pictures for the DVD version; the parts in brackets are also contained in the TV version. Peter: " 'I'II not meddle with it, Xerxes. A man cannot steal, but it accuseth him. A man cannot swear, but it checks him. A man cannot lie with his neighbor's..." (Quagmire: "Hey, Peter, what you got there?") Peter: "Jesus, Quagmire, I'm trying to do something fancy with my falcon." DVD Version 12 sec longer
06:52 Some more dialogue after Randy has given Lois his card. Lois: "Oh, my God! You're the guy on the card!" Randy: Yeah. Give me a call." 4.5 sec
08:18 Before she notices that she's working at a phone sex hotline, Lois says: "This isn't voiceover." 1.8 sec
08:52 Lois says "Oh, boy!" in the same shot during her first call. 2 sec
09:32 Lois adds in reference to the European ads: "Nothing you'll ever see." 1.1 sec
Alternative 09:32-09:45 Stewie talks about a former job of his. The first animation of him accordingly differs (no pictures). In the TV version he says: "You know, I have got to get myself back out there, too. I haven't performed since I was in Stewman Group." He is shown drumming all painted in blue and a voice from the audience says: "I don't get it. What is this?" One of the Stewies says: "We don't know either."
The DVD version has him say: "You know, I have got to get myseIf back out there. I haven't worked ever since I said a swear word on the air." The usual Family Guy intro is shown and during his normal solo part he says "Suck my cock, motherfucker!" instead.
TV Version 1.9 sec longer 09:57 Mort says at the beginning: "You sound very classy." 1.7 sec
10:13 Lois takes out a further dollar bill: "Three." Mort: "Oh, God! Okay, slow down a bit." 3.1 sec
Censored Audio Track / Alternative 16:26-16:28 Censored audio track in the short cutaway: "Eight fucking hours later...". But they also used a blur effect at this point, probably because they wanted to avoid people reading lips in the live action part.
Alternative 17:09-17:15 Some more dialogue after Peter has talked about his alleged business trip. Lois: "What?" Peter: "Yeah, those jokers just called and said I had to go on a last-minute business trip." Lois: "What jokers? What are you talking about?" Peter: "The guys down at Corporate Briefcase." The two versions differ a little bit at this point, due to reasons of continuity, until Peter holds up the graph. DVD Version 8.5 sec longer
Censored Audio Track / Alternative 19:15-19:17 The next "Eight fucking hours later..." was edited in the same way.
