Looks like FOX wants to fly high with the Family Guy releases in the UK. While the recently released US box "Vol. 9" at least contains the last episodes of S8 plus the first ones of S9 (available as S10 in the UK since May 2011! / the comparisons are already online), S11 (aka Vol. 10 in the US) is available since November 2011 in the UK. This DVD box contains the remaining episodes of S9. Unfortunately, this DVD release doesn't contain any audio commentaries like the previous releases did. It might be, but that's just an assumption of mine, that the commentaries haven't been recorded so far because the release of the US counterpart "Vol. 10" isn't yet in sight. The episodes themselves are completely uncensored, as usual.

The ninth episode of this box, 9x12 ("The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair"), has also been shortened for TV. The DVD Version is almost 3 min longer. And as most episodes with a big length difference, the alterations are barely worth mentioning. Most of the cuts have been made reach the common length for TV. The only interesting new scene is the one with Stewie's evil clone. Only in the DVD Version, he can take revenge on the older boy in the sandpit because it's him who was responsable for creating the clone in the first place. Closing this storyline with quite a violent scene makes perfect sense. As a result of that, another scene needed to be displaced and a background animation needed to adjusted as well.

Bonnie also says: "Thank you so much, Lois."
Lois replies: "No problem".
She closes the door. Then she walks into the kitchen and yells "Meg!" for the first time.

01:31

Only the DVD Version contains Stewie explaining proudly to Brian what his sand castle represents.

Stewie: "Well, you said it couldn't be done, Brian, but I created an exact replica of the Raytheon executive headquarters in El Segundo, California. Look at your fucking face. I hope you like egg, my friend."

02:09

Additional trivial dialog.

Brian: "Well, I mean, you weren't exactly focused on what you were doing."
Stewie: "Brian, if you got something to say to me..."
Brian starts earlier: "All right, ..."

Joe explains his one-liner: "We all have to come in with three new ones on monday. What can I do for you, Meg?"
The following animation starts slightly earlier and Meg begins with: "Oh, ..."

05:25

Additional dialog before Joe gives Meg a ride to school.

Joe: "But before we go, I have got to make a stool. Sometimes it needs a little coaxing though. There's some seed in the kitchen. Just put it in a little pile on the floor."
Meg remains for a sec, then she says: "I'm gonna go get my books."

07:21

Only in the DVD Version, Statler and Waldorf come up with a comment about Meg's new "boyfriend" Joe.

Waldorf: "Well, I'm happy for Meg."
Statler: "Why, because she finally has somebody?"
Waldorf: "No, because she finally has some lines."
Both laugh.
Waldorf: "You know, you are my closest friend."
Statler: "Really?"
Waldorf: "Yeah. We can't be more than six inches apart."
He's the only one laughing, Statler angrily says: "The first one was enough."

Then another new scene: Meg is in the kitchen. She says good bye to the Griffins and spills the beans about Joe.

Lois: "Meg, honey, do you want some breakfast?"
Meg: "I don't have time. I have to get over to the Swansons'."
Lois: "You sure? Aren't you hungry?"
Meg: "Thanks, Mom. But I want to be there when he first gets up. He's so cute."
Lois: "What?"
Meg: "I...um...I mean, she's so cute. Susie."
Stewie confirms: "She's all right."

Finally a recut: now the scene of Evil Stewie fighting with Brian (no screens).

Now Evil Stewie's fight with Brian in the TV Version.

+ 117 sec

10:05

The TV Version continues with Evil Stewie on the street immediately. Since this scene already came up in the DVD Version, there's a transition to another scene (after the dinner conversation at the Swansons' house) which illustrates Evil Stewie's character (or why he's called Evil Stewie): in the DVD Version, he's involved in a rough fight. He takes revenge on the kid that destroyed (Normal) Stewie's sand pit in the beginning of the episode.

Stewie and Brian are hiding behind a house.
Brian asks: "What makes you think we're gonna find Evil Stewie here?"
Stewie: "Well, you recall that boy who knocked over my sand building. This is his house. And since the clone has the exact same memories that I have, my guess is he'll show up here to exact his revenge."
That's what happens immediately.
Brian says: "Here he comes. Get down."
Evil Stewie saws a hole into the door and enters.
Stewie says "He's in" and Brian and he run to the window. Inside is a playing boy.
He says to Evil Stewie: "Hey, what are you doing here, dork?"
But Evil Stewie only laughs diabolically, goes to the boy and rubs his head.
The boy complains: "Hey, cut it out, man."
Brian asks: "What's he doing?"
Stewie: "I don't know. Just giving him a noogie. Pretty harmless. Maybe we disjudged. Wait. Why is his knuckle getting red?"
Meanwhile, the boy is screaming offscreen and Brian says: "Oh, my God."
Stewie says defenselessly: "Hey, enough. Stop."
Brian: "Here come the parents."
Further screams and fight noises are audible, Stewie's and Brian's eyes are going up and down. Suddenly, a bloody ear hits the window glass.
Stewie: "That's an adult ear."
They duck and Brian determines: "My God, Stewie, we have to destroy that thing or it's just gonna keep killing people."
Evil Stewie runs out of the house.

10:05-10:20

For continuity reasons, the following animations are different. While Evil Stewie just left the Griffins' house and one can see the suurounding area in the TV Version, the DVD Version shows a different area in the background because he just left the sand pit nemesis' house.

Joe says: "Meg, I know you took my gun from the drawer. I know you planted it in Bonnie's luggage, and I know that you breast-fed Susan. I know because I was there when you did that, and I know that you know that I was there, but I just wanted to bring it up again because it was really weird."
Meg: "I'm sorry, Mr. Swanson. I guess, I just thought that if Mrs. Swanson was out of the way, we could be together."
