Contra Hard Corps was the next generation of "Contra" games; the course of the game was no longer connected to one single storyline, instead you were able to decide how the story goes on. However, since you not only fight aliens but also a lot of human enemies and the game (in terms of language) no longer was as child-friendly as the previous games, it had to be censored even further that its predecessors for the European release.

But two Years ago, he planned a Coup D'etat to overthrow the Government. The Coup D'etat was stopped in time, but the Colonel fled. Until now, we had heard nothing of him. He's a dangerous man. I wonder what he's planning to do with that Alien Cell... His Hideout is deep in the Jungle. Good hunting!	Noiman told us the Location of the Alien's Headquarters. It's located deep in the Jungle. I never imagined that the Doctor was working for the enemy! But because of that, we now know where their HQ is. We will take an overseas route to strike at them. This time we'll take them out with extreme Prejudice!	I never imagined that the enemy was planning a Trap! But now we know where their real Headquarters are. The Doctor and the Cloning Machine
While you in the European version fight an automatic cloning machine, it in the US version is operated by a doctor. During the battle the doctor gets eaten by one of his monsters (images originate from the US Version).




Altered/Deleted Cutscenes
Almost all the cutscenes were altered - these alterations concern both the text and the images. Sometimes, the cutscenes were entirely deleted.
