"Digimon Savers", or better known as "Digimon Data Squad" in the USA, is the fifth series of the popular franchise revolving around the monsters of the virtual world and their partners.

As all seasons before, the fifth series too had been edited a bit. As usual the opening and ending were made anew. Unlike previous openings this one wasn't replaced with a monotonous rap song, but with a normal, new song. The titlescreen for the episode was also changed, just like the preview for the next episode. Those are typical changes for the US version.
The translation itself is good, but Agumon refers to Masaru (or Marcus in the US version, yet I stick to the Japanese names) as "boss", while he calls him "Aniki" (brother) in the Japanese version. Most likely this was changed because it could be seen as an analogy to the Yakuza, which have a family-like hierarchy.

The order for comparisons is:
Left: Japanese version
Right: US Version

This report is about:
Episode 01
US title: There are monsters among us
Japanese title: 俺が大だ!コカトリモン襲来

About this episode: There is just one "real" cut and that's Agumon's kick into Masarus crotch. The sound is running normally during this scene though.
A little "funny" note: at the beginning of the episode you see a park with some knocked out guys lying on the ground. A character refers to those later in the episode. While it's 13 (..."juusan...") people in the Japanese version, the US version made it 15.

The time difference in this episode is 2 seconds.
Instead of the normal titlescreen for the episode, which shows a digivolved Agumon that spits fire and after a while the title shows up in the flames, the US version got a new titlescreen. You see a CG gate which opens, reveals the title of the episode, the title is read out aloud, then the gate closes again.

The scene where Agumon kicks Masaru in the crotch has been replaced with a big star.

The japanese doorsign was replaced with a translated one.

Soundedit: as Agumon bites Masaru because it's so hungry, you see the tower from the outside and hear Masaru scream in the Japanese version. In the US version however he just says "Back off!".
