The little modest village Dravicu is being terrorized by a mysterious creature. Some villagers leave the village and encounter a group of experienced werewolf hunters. Those brave men hit the trail immediately. Having arrived in Dravicu, the assistent of the local doctor, young Daniel, persuades them of letting him taking part in the hunt for the beast. The search remains unsuccessful at first and the terror at nighttime continues. More and more vilagers become the beast's victim. But that's not the only thread. The survivors turn as well. That's why Daniel needs to find the root of all evil in order to save the village. But he starts to realize increasingly that his relentless hostile could be someone he's very close to...


In the end of the second millennium, some horror classics were released by Universal Film. Among them "Frankenstein", "Dracula" and and also "The Wolfsman". After its remake wasn't very successful at the box office in 2010, Universal decided not take any further risks. As a result, Universal decided to release "Werwolf: The Beast Among Us" (which was originally supposed to be a sequel of the 2010 remake) separately on Blu-ray and DVD.

In its country of origin, two different versions were released. First, the R-Rated Version and later on the Unrated Version. The R-Rated Version lacks two short scenes that don't make the movie better at all but that footage at least pleases friends of gory scenes.

Compared are the R-Rated DVD and the Unrated DVD.
