Deranged: Confessions of a Necrophile

original title: Deranged

Comparison:

  • R-Rated
  • Unrated
Release: May 02, 2009 - Author: Preacher - Translator: enemy - external link: IMDB
The movie "Deranged: Confessions of a Necrophile“ has been released in the US in 1974.

This movie is based on a true story. Even though names and places have been changed, it is obvious that that the main character is no other than infamous psychopath Ed Gein.

In the United States one scene had to be trimmed to secure an R-rating. Our uncut version for comparison was the German DVD by Legend Films which has been released in 2004. This Anniversary Edition comes with nice special features (a making of and two documentaries about the real Ed Gein, among others) and has a really good transfer. Only the edited scene is lower in quality than the rest of the film. But at least it's fully uncut, comes with a 16 rating and even provides English audio and subtitles.

Ezra Cobb dismembers the body of his former teacher Miss Johnson. First he puts her eye out with a spoon, which proofs to be bloody work. He then cuts her skull open with a saw, takes off the top of it and uses the spoon to take out her brain.
