Compared are the TV Version and the extended DVD Version (both available on thd DVD Box "Volume 4").

3 new / extended scene, one of them with alternate footage
+ 1 audio modification

Difference: 88.1 sec

Family Guy is a huge success on FOX. But some modifications need to be made to get permission to air it on FOX because some gags are too rude for TV. Other gags have only been removed to reach the appropiate length for an episode on TV, which means not all the differences were made due to censorship. Nevertheless there are still enough hilarious, outrages gags in it so that fans are gonna have lots of fun with watching the TV Version on FOX. (I'm speaking from experience.)

BTW It airs every sunday evening on FOX. That's really nice because you can also watch the new American Dad episode and new episode of The Cleveland Show. So you've got a terrific triple feature. And when you're watching FOX anyway, you can also watch the latest Simpsons episode. I can really imagine worse evening than watching the latest episodes of the series by Seth MacFarlane plus some new adventures of Homer & Co.

The DVD Version of Episode 4x27 "Untitled Family History" contains some new scenes. I figure those scenes were removed because the episode would have been too long if they hadn't. Furthermore there's a extraordinary audio modification (fart gag).
The extended scene with Hitler at the end is missing in the TV Version and it's got nothing to do with NS symolism or sth. because the swastikas already showed up a couple of minutes earlier.

Time index refers to the TV Version.
Audio modification

After God made the universe present by farting, he asks "You smell that?" from the off in the DVD Version. The TV Version doesn't contain that.

After the alternate theory of evolution by the church, a scene with the Griffins as dinoaurs follows in the DVD Version. According to the audio commentary, that scene has been removed due to a lack of time.

Peter comments from the off: "And the noblest of those early creatures was the dinosaur."
Shot of family of dinosaurs. Dino-Peter arrives: "Hey, Lois, I'm gonna go nail a couple of dinosaurs in the next valley."
Dino-Lois: "Peter, that's terrible."
Dino-Peter: "Hey, I don't know any better. I'm a dinosaur. I don't have morals."
Dino-Quagmire also arrives and Dino-Peter says: "Hey, a herpesaur."
Dino-Quagmire immediately asks: "Hey, Peter, does your tail itch?"

In the TV Version, "Black-Eye" Griffin's appearance ends with his performance in the first sound film. Only the DVD Version explains how he died.

Peter from the off: "'Black-Eye' Griffin struggled to make ends meet until he died tragically in the same manner as 78% of Americans at that time. He was stabbed in a card fight."
Then a shot of Peter gambling table. After he showed his cards with plleasure, he gets stabbed by another angry player.

The story about Peter Hitler and his well-known brother is much more detailed in the DVD Version. Finally it's Peter who has to take the rap for the death of Adolf Hitler and Eva Braun.

First a tracking shot from the cheering crowd to Adolf.
Dissolve to his office. He bitches about his brother to Eva, who's standing behind him: "I just...I can't take it anymore. He's driving me crazy."
Eva: "Take it easy, honey."
Peter comes in: "Knock-knock. Hey there, Bro. How's it going? Getting a lot of positive feedback about that rally. Lot of positive feedback. Everybody loved my Germanator joke."
Adolf: "Look, Peter, I want you to move out."
Peter: "What?"
Adolf: "You can't live here anymore. You're a pain in my ass. I want you out."
While Peter's fooling around with the gun, he says: "Oh, come on, man. That's not fair. Look, if this is about that whole me-leaving-the-seat-up thing, I mean, that's... Is that really a big deal?"
Adolf: "Yes, it is, Peter, because sometimes at night when Eva has to go, if she goes in there and the seat is up and it's dark, she sits in the water."
Peter laughs: "No way. Get the hell out of here."
He accidentally fires off a shot and Adolf Hitler goes down. Eva looks after him immediately and says: "Oh no. You stupid idiot! What did you do?"
Peter: "Oh, my God!"
He keeps fooling around with the gun and says (while he's grinning): "All right, listen, there'll be time to grieve, but you-you go to tell me first, did you actually sit in the water or was that..."
He accidentally fires off a further shot Eva bites the dust as well. After thinking it through, Peter puts the gun in her hand and runs away.
