Morituris Banned From Italian Cinemas
The Italian horror film Morituris has problems in its country of origin. The film was made in 2011 and provoked some reactions during its screenings at the Fantasia Film Festival 2012 because of its seemingly senseless violence against women. The makers defended themselves by stating that the story of their movie is mixed up out of two "true stories".
However, it seems that the Italian censor's office wasn't too convinced by that argument and banished the film from its theatrical release:
It's currently unknown what that means for the Italian DVD/BD releases.
