Rise of the Footsoldier: Extended Version Ahead
The extraordinary British gangster film Rise of the Footsoldier is based on the life of British celebrity gangster Carlton Leach and was released back in March 2008 in the UK and got an uncut BBFC 18 rating due to loads of coarse language and brutal violence including torture.
Now, 4 years later, an extended version of the movie is announced for a Blu-ray release on December 24th, 2012 in the UK. The cover of the so-called "Extreme Extended Edition" claims that the film will have new bonus features and will be enhanced with 20 minutes of additional footage. Considering that the normal version was already scratching the 2-hour mark, it's going to be interesting if the new material will improve the original version.
