Hating Breitbart Gets an R-Rating

Hollywood, Liberals, Tea Party and Conservatives

The documentary Hating Breitbart starts in US theaters on October 12th and got an R rating by the MPAA for some cuss words. Since the production company intends to appeal in order to get the PG-13 rating, the start of the film has to be pushed back.

Andrew Breitbart, who died earlier this year at the age of 43 after suffering from heart problems, was a conservative activist who especially engaged in the Tea Party movement and therefore became a target of liberal activists and media coverage that accused him of racism and other bad things.

While especially Michael Moore and his liberal views became successful theatrical films in the past, now the documentary 2016: Obama's America surprised since it showed a depressing vision of America if Obama gets re-elected in November. With over 33 million Dollars, the film gained twice as much money as Moore's last film Capitalism: A Love Story.

Hating Breitbart wants to be successful as well and every publicity can help here. So it's no surprise that the accusation against the usually liberal Hollywood is that it issued the R rating not because of the 9 cuss words but because of the conservative view on America that this film contains. Even the reduction to 4 cuss words did not change the rating. Is that true? Who knows. As soon as the situation is deflated, they'll surely find a compromise for a PG-13 and harvest the fruits.

Andrew Breibart:“What the left has stood for with political correctness, is to try and get those with whom they disagree to shut up. And the tea party movement, and Sarah Palin, and Michele Bachmann, and Allen West and all the people who have gone out there against the mainstream media and said, ‘You’re going to call us racists? You’re going to call us potential Timothy McVeighs? Fuck you!’
