Comparison between the uncut RC2-DVD from the UK (BBFC 15) from Columbia and the cut RC1 DVD from the same label. The sex scene between Russell Crowe and Sharon Stone was removed from the US version to get an R-Rating. Sam Raimi himself demanded the removal of that scene. This, however, leads up to big continuity issues concerning the story when Crowe suddenly calls Stone "Ellen" even though their relationship does not seem intimate or close at all in the US version.

The sex scene (1:15:56)

Ellen enters the brothel of Redemption, pushes two men aside, walks up the stairs and searches all the rooms for Cort. In the rooms we see prostitutes and their costumers. The whole thing is happening in an amazingly beautiful Steadicam-shot!

With her colt pulled she enters the room where Cort is being captured, threatens Herod's men with her colt and pushes Cort into the bordering bed room. After she locked the door to the room that Herod`s men are in a few words are exchanged before the action takes place. For closer impressions please take a look at the pictures ;-) At the end when Ellen is going down on Cort there is a soft transition from Cort`s face to the next morning.
