American Werewolf in Paris, An

Comparison:

  • DVD
  • Workprint
Release: Jun 30, 2014 - Author: gecko666 - Translator: Mr Miau - external link: IMDB
The Movie:
The three US-Americans Andy, Brad and Chris are on a trip through Europe and end up in Paris. On the Eiffel Tower, Andy saves a young beauty's life. Unfortunately, she turns out to be a werewolf...
What can be said about American Werewolf? Somehow, it was better in my memory. The story is not exactly creative and the actors seem quite wooden, except maybe the pretty funny Julie Bowen (Amy).

Animations:
Naturally, the workprint lacks a lot of animations. In order not to mention the same things over and over again, different aspects of this will be mentioned here but not in the comparison itself:
Werewolves:
They are not always animated, sometimes this also affects the surrounding.
DVDWP

Moon:
It is sometimes half animated, sometimes completely removed.
DVDWP

View of the Werewolves:
The shots depicting the werewolves' point of view feature a yellow filter on the DVD.

DVD ending:
Andy and Serafine are standing on a platform wedding dresses. Chris approaches and tells them that they have to hurry up because someone is coming. He is so stressed that he drops the ring, which rolls off the platform and falls down. The two jump after it, it can now be seen that they are jumping off the Statue of Liberty. Andy catches the ring and puts it on Serafine's finger. Chris then sees that Andy's bungee rope is not fixed to the statue but fails to grab it before it is gone. However, Andy and Serafine have hugged each other so strongly that he did not fall anyway.
