There is no need to make many words about the hilarious TV show "ALF". You doesn't know it has at least heard of it even though it has been quite some time since something new from the ALF universe was released. Anyway, the show consists of 4 seasons and aired in the late 80s and early 90s. Furthermore, there are two animated series ("ALF: The Animated Series" & ALF Tales) and a motion picture from the mid 90s.
As to the US Versions, a few minutes of each episode were cut for syndication in order to show more commercials. Unfortunately, these syndication versions were also released on DVD. Understandably, the fans were disappointed that the DVDs do not contain the uncut episodes. Whether or not the uncut episodes will be released one day (perhaps on Blu-ray?) is the million dollar question.
Alf flinches away from the dog.
The intro was shortened a bit. Alf's view of him opening a door and entering the room was removed.
Again a part of the intro is missing. Alf reaches into the fridge for the cake but Katherine smacks his hand away.
After Ethel has left the house, Willie closes the door. Then Brian and Lynn can be seen kneeling next to the dog.
Brian: I'm glad you're not her dog!
Lynn: Yeah, me too!
Brian: Could I take Alfina for a walk?
Katherine: Sure, honey!
Lynn: Watch out for that dragon lady!
Brian: Come on, Alfina! Brian and the dog exit the picture. Willie and Katherine are gazing after them.
Willie: Isn't that a picture? A boy and his dog!
Alf (sad): And the alien they left behind!
The chat in the bedroom is a bit longer.
Willie: That's because dogs behave better than aliens around here!
Alf: I'll change, you'll see! I'll heel, I'll fetch, I'll play dead!
Katherine: Could we discuss this in the morning?
Alf: But I'm great at playing dead! I was Camille in my high-school play! I feel weak!
Willie and Katherine turn around and continue to sleep.
Hannah (sad): We just moved to this neighborhood! And Franscesca's the only friend I have here!
The two versions feature different footage of ther holding her hands in front of her face.

Ethel: Well, it didn't bother you when you phoned at 4:00 this morning!
Willie: Oh, that, I am sorry!
Ethel: Forget it, it gave me a chance to shave my legs!
Brian: (Why did you give Alfina to that mean lady, Alf?)
Alf: Look, B, like we said on Melmac: If you love something, set it free! If it comes back to you, it's yours! If it gets run over by a car, you don't want it!
Brian: Thanks a lot, Alf!
Alf: Sorry! Hey, hey, let's go shoot some hoops! I'll get the peashooter! You see if the Hoops are in their backyard!
Alf apologizes in two different shots.
US Version: 1,5 sec
German Version: 27 sec
Hannah: One last time! Okay, Francesca, speak!
The dog lies down and everybody is glad.
Willie: That dog is phenomenal!
Hannah: I should tell my parents I found her! Wave bye-bye, Francesca!
The dog turns around and the others are cheering again.
Lynn: Goodbye, Hannah!
Brian: Goodbye, Francesca!
Hannah: Hey, you can come play with us if you want to!
Brian: Can I?
Katherine: Oh, sure, honey, have fun!
Brian: Let's go! He, Hannah and the dog are walking to the front door.
Katherine: Oh, they look kind of cute together, don't they? I can't help it, I'm a mother!
Lynn: She should wear flats!
