Comparison between the cut R-Rated Version and the uncut Unrated Version.
This movie is the sequel to the dark serial killer drama from John McNaughton. Unfortunately, it does not meet the standards of the original, but it is not as bad as some people want to make it. A typical 90ies flick you might say.
In the USA the movie was cut for an R-rating for the video and DVD market. In Great Britain (and later from Dark Sky in the USA) the Unrated Version was released.
R-Rated = 83:43 Min.
Unrated = 81:17 Min.
The shorter running time of the uncut version derives from the fact that a PAL-DVD has been used for this report.
00:00 The MPI logo is shown in the Unrated.
44:43 Beginning of a shot as Kai stabs the owner of the gas station.
44:59 Longer shot after Henry has slit the guys throat. The man gasps and spits blood. Blood also squirts out of his throat, followed by a shot of Henry.
58:45 As Henry kills the man on the bed, a short shot of the throat slashing is missing, as well as the beginning of the following shot of Henry.
A shot of Kai has been put into the R-Rated.
58:50 After Henry has cut the mans head off he puts the knife away, takes the head and lifts it up.
58:53 Longer shot of the door after Kai has left the room.
In the R-Rated we see a shot of Henry with the severed head in his hands.
60:53 The fight between Henry and Kai is longer. Henry tells him that he could kill him right now.
Alternative shot of Henry in the R-Rated.
71:53 As Henry kills Rooter with the screwdriver, a shot of him shoving the tool up his nose until Rooter dies is missing. Blood flows out of his nose.
72:14 End of a shot (alternative in both versions) followed by Kai. Then a long shot. Henry tells Kai to help him carry the body into the bathroom to hack it to pieces.
73:07 Henry smashes the guys head onto the floor six more times. Blood splatters around.
83:43 The ending credits stop earlier on the cut DVD.
