Guilty Conscience

artist: Eminem

Comparison:

  • MTV Version
  • Director's Cut
Release: Oct 10, 2012 - Author: KoRn - Translator: Tony Montana
Besides the censored swear words and offensive words, the Director's Cut contains an extended end. Many of the offensive lyrics were either entirely removed, silenced or distorted but these things aren't going to be mentioned in the comparison.

The video is split up in three stories about completely different people who are lead into temptation or who do sth. vicious or immoral. In these moments, the scene suddenly stops. Eminen and Dr. Dre show up as good and guilty conscience who try to influence the people.
The first story is about a guy who intends to rob a supermarket but chickens out at the last moment.
The second story is about a teenager who almost seduces an under-aged drunken chick. Eminem and Dr. Dre show up as good and guilty conscience again and they can persuade him to not do it.
Last but not least a story about the construction worker Grady who catches his wife getting nailed by some other dude in her trailer. But this story ends different than the previous ones.

In the MTV Version, Eminem and Dr. Dre vanish. Then a transition to a white screen and that's it.
The Director's Cut doesn't have the white screen. Dr. Dre says "Awww! Fuck it, do 'em both Grady, where's your gun at?"
Then the exterior shot of the trailer. Suddenly two shots and the muzzle flash in the window.
